It is from the white caulk that is around the tube between the tile. I have cleaned it with undissolved clorax and it gets white almost immediately, but, I got sick. I have tried CLR and it only leaves an ugly looking stain.

A regular toothbrush works GREAT and is way better than scrubbers and mops. I had the exact same problem last month and for me at first I used some 409 all purpose cleasner and when i ran out of that I used the new All purpose bleach spray. Both workes EXTREMLEY good. Just spray it on the grout and caulking then scrub away with the toothbrush..make sure you rinse the toothbrush every now and then with hot water to remove the dirt and mildew that sticks in the bristles. Sometimes the caulking can be a bit harder when it comes to the stains on it.. but if you cant get it clean enough to your liking caulking guns only cost about $4.00 and the caulking itself is about $2 , It's really easy to go over the old caulking, and make it look nice again. Good Luck!

If it is just the caulk between the tub and tile not the grout you can take out the caulk and clean up the area it was in let it dry and then you can re-caulk it. It is a simple little project you can do on your own.

There is mold in the tile. You need to take out all of the white caulk. Let the area dry out thoroughly. And then replace all of the white stuff again.

Tilex also works well. And the Clorox pen is good too.

Do you have a steamer? The hot steam may work. Or you may want to pull up the caulk and put fresh down, if that's something you're comfortable doing.

Try making a paste out of peroxide and baking soda. Rub it on where it gets black, let it dry for a few hours and then, scrub or rinse it off. It won't make you sick but, it may take a few applications to get it completely white again.

Remove all the caulk and replace it with silicon bathtub caulk. Bathtub caulk is mold and mildew resistant where regular silicon caulk is not.

I use a Chlorox bleach pen...the tip gets right in there and the other end has this nifty little nylon brush to scrub it right out.
