No, it's the by-product of the rest of the Muslims not expressing their condemnation in an earnest, convincing or publicized manner time after time after time.....so it appears as if they are giving tacit approval to the radical elements.

Yup, propaganda.
Radical extremism and terrorism has become the stereotype for all Muslims.
Partly media's fault, but not entirely. If the media focused on 'the rest' of the Muslims, people wouldnt watch.
Would you want to watch me buy groceries, or do other normal everyday things?
So the bad are what people see. So when those people are asked an opinion or viewpoint about Muslims or terrorists, the stereotype is all they really know.
By the way though, the Muslim radical extremists are not exactly a 'small group'. A small percentage perhaps, but a LOT of people.
The much larger percentage of Muslims, millions of you, should do something about the radicals. If you want to maintain world-wide respect for the Muslim religion, you should do something about it. There are certainly enough of you. Eliminate and/or comdemn the radicals.
Some would say: "Otherwise, you are part of the problem."

You are so right. People tend to attack entire groups, whether it be race, religion and nationality because of the actions of a few. It is very unfair. The majority of Muslims in America are good, hard working people just like the rest of us. They should not be judged by the crazy ravings of a few radical extremists.
I don't believe this is a by-product of one sided media coverage, but individuals own fear of the unknown.

I'd say because the Muslim religion bred these extremists and rather than condemn the actions of these killers and become outraged at the actions of a "few" extremists they actually praise them in private and publicly give a token "oh they really shouldn't do that".
Let's see, when did we last see a march on Capitol Hill of thousands of Muslims demanding the U.S. stop the terrorists or a large public outcry from the Muslims religious leaders asking the terrorists to stop the killing?.

I must be missing a few years i though they where attacking us.Have you heard about the TWIN TOWERS and the attempted bombing of the US EMBASY IN SYRIA TODAY.
Seriously though if the ordinary honest muslim believer truely believes in his religeon Why on earth are they not out on the streets protesting against these terrorists and use the world media to show that they are against what the radicals are doing in their name
In my Country -IRISH REPUBLIC.THE IRA TERRORIST GROUP where killing innocent men women and CHILDREN just because they where of a different faith. The ordinary everyday man in the street did not want the IRA doing such on OUR behalf. So we got out on the streets in the SOUTH and the NORTH and protested against it .some of us where threatned but we did it AND WE GOT RESULTS.
So if an ordinary muslim wants to take back his faith from the RADICALS...why dont they be SEEN doing something about it

Being a Muslim myself I ask this question, but again I know why so many people on Yahoo Answers are insulting Muslims. It is basically due to gross Misunderstanding!
By the way, the day on 11th September 2001 the WTC was hit and I was watching BBC and CNN live at that moment in my office; my first reaction was that whoever has done this heinous act is not good person(s). I wrote an e-mail to my friends that "today is watershed event in the modern history and the world will not be the same from tomorrow." This is because I knew that this event was not like any accident we watch on TV or in person in everyday life. USA had every right to strike back against the perpetrator. But may be, Prez Bush made a few mistakes that made him look more like a villain than a hero. Same happened with PM Tony Blair.
Anyway, we hope that the world would find solace by knowing that we Muslim hated such terrorist acts and it is not in our religion to kill innocent people. And people would slowly start to realise that they may hate the terrorists who happens to be Muslim, but spare the religion - Islam, and its followers - Muslims.

I think the reason why so many people are attacking Muslims in Answers is due to the West's frustration with the fact that normal, sane and logical thinking Muslims are NOT criticizing and denouncing the wack jobs in their own religion.

We are, by order of our president, a hysteria driven country. Lil 'w's gameplan is to keep us busy throwing verbal stones at the Muslims so we won't see the royal mess he is creating for future presidents.
Lil 'w', working in tandem with his daddy's affliate company (the Carlyle group) are aware of the "cash cow" the American economy is. They're stuffing their pockets, while we chase our tails and fabricated bogeymen.
I am convinced that Osama is still in business with the Bush family. Have you noticed that even though we can't find him, he has "express" access to our president , when it comes to delivering (much needed) bogeyman films.
Everytime Lil 'w' gets accused of any of his crimes against humanity, his business associate and long time family friend, Osama jumps into action.
Nice trick, George.
I say, don't impeach him..... prosecute the little weasel for treasonous acts against America.

That is exactly what it is (one sided media coverage), because when America wanted someone to blame for the attacks that was the only group availible at the time. Mexicans were tying up the border, Koreans were launching missles, African-Americans are busy fighint each other, and someone had to take the blame!
