Yes it can, especially if you have been smoking for quite a long time. I started in my younger years (20's) and decided to stop in my (40's) by cold turkey. I ended up with severe migraine headaches which landed me in the hospital. There was nothing the doctors could do because at the time no one knew I was going through cold turkey. This went on for a while until I prayed to God to give me the strength and will power to stop smoking. One morning I woke up & had no desire for a cigarette & I thank God for it because I have added more years onto my life. To succeed, you have to want this deeply from within. I chose to quit smoking and drinking at the same time because they both go hand in hand together.

not a doctor, but I'd say yes, the lack of nicotine makes my head ache also; I;m sure your body is under a little stress from quitting(cold turkey) and may be causing your symptoms as well, GOOD LUCK

no, it may be because of the lack of nicotine in the first and second day, but then, the body produces by itself the amount of nicotine that you don't get by cigarettes. I think it is just psychological your feeling, but don't give up, if you will support it for two or three days it will be much easier.

If you just quit after a few days ago .. after using it for 5 years.. I would say this is a normal reaction. However, if it continues for much longer, I would seek a Doctors advice. Good Luck !

You should be more concerned about the cancer that you will get if you do not go cold turkey.
