Why haven't you carried out a large-scale invasion of places like Sudan, Somalia, Ethiopia, Rwanda or Liberia, where MILLIONS of innocents die year by year, thanks to a lack of democracy and to the outright disregard for human rights, unlike Iraq, where even women could attend college?
Is it perhaps because these countries do not have as much Texas Tea?
(and don't bring up the 'Black Hawk Down' thing, it was a UN mission, not US Army's or NATO's)
Before you think your army is being heroic, think again...it's the oil, baby!

The army is almost always heroic. There are a few exceptions, but they are being forced to serve in extreme conditions for extended tours. The military does not determine its missions, the President, its Commander in Chief does.

I love it when assclowns like you have the gall to complain that the US has done nothing to improve freedom and democracy around the world unless it is for some selfish reason related to natural resource or some other economic benefit.
Meanwhile what every country you live in (it would not surprise me to find out you live here in the US) allows you the freedom to write your rancorous question because of the US. The mere existence of the US provided a sphere of influence and power that stopped the Soviet Union from expanding and taking over Europe, Central and South America, and the rest of North American. And the US currently projects the same power and influence that prevents China from doing the same.
If you are so anti-US, I would love to see you write the same critical statement of China, if China were the dominate force in the world. If you did, you would be in a dank prison cell awaiting execution when you blood type matched the next kidney buyer's so quickly your head would spin, that is until they marched you into a field and put a bullet in the back of it. Of course, right after they injected you with anti-coagulants.
But if you are looking for an example, you are forgetting about the Balkans. Kosovo has no economic resources that would benefit the US, yet in 1999 we fought a war there.
And don't YOU say, oh, it was a NATO action. The US flew over 90% of the sorties during the Kosovo campaign.
And what did the European nations do? Nothing, they let the entire Balkans fester in war and ethnic cleansing for years. A region right on their back door steps.
So there's your example.
Quod Erat Demonstrandum!

Do you people who cry that the war is for oil actually do any sort of research as to where the US gets it oil from? Check it out and you'll see that most of oil does not come from Iraq. But, I'm willing to bet that facts scare you.
Humanist: I wasn't talking about gas companies, I was talking about countries. Notice I put "Iraq" and not "Shell"

The Army is heroic (take it from someone who had to serve under the fourth reich) it is our politicians and our peoples apathy that has created this quagmire that is tearing the entire world apart. And you are absolutely right no one cares about africa because africa has nothing to really offer.
Besides how can America defend and spread democracy when the American people themselves will not defend there own at home.

Not only is it oil Saudi Arabian royal family ask Bush to utilize & risk the lives of our economically disadvantged military members in taking out Saddam!

As an American.. I totally and utterly agree with you. 'It's the oil baby' and making sure Iran is not a superpower in their own region and lastly but not least, the perception by all parties that African lives, like middle eastern lives, are cheap.
PraTrp, what sort of argument is that? Just because I buy my gas from Shell doesn't mean I wouldn't buy Exxon Gas. Come on friend.

Yes! My friends in the Army are getting very rich from the invasion for oil.
DORK!
The people fighting in the Army are heroic. If the leaders that put them in the fight are after oil then attack them with your hate, not our soldiers!!

I'm sure starting up another war front would be totally popular in our country. We can't even fight for something that is in the best interest of our country, so I can't imagine how we'd ever pull off something that doesn't help our country in the least. Not to say that it wouldn't be a good thing to help those countries out. If they don't all stop screwing everything that breathes over there, AIDS will wipe out all the countries that you just listed.

Your words make you look like a fool...! So straighten up your attitude and be respectful to others.

Look everyone, another hater of America!!! Wow!!! Another two bit know nothing trying to convince others that he knows everything!!! It's easy to sit on the side lines with 20-20 hindsight. It's like picking the winning lottery numbers the day after it goes off. Hell, you're the kind of idiot that would blame America for a rainy day.
