Death being a transition from life and your life being a fulfillment of your destiny, then I feel there is no way to take revenge from beyond the grave. A soul in transition would move forward anyway, not backwards to a mortal life. I think it is the human conscience that takes revenge on itself. And maybe the family or friends of the departed soul would look for justice in this world, but whatever the truth may be transition means "in forward transit", so I don,t hold to the theory of "revenge from beyond the grave". The only way I can see for it to happen is if the spirits in the bottle have been overactive !!

There's this show on cable about these people that go around to the most haunted places in the world, like old castles and stuff. The worst that's ever happened is some knocking. Really, that's all anyone has really seen happen, so it's not like a begrudged ghost is going to appear out of shadows to violently kill someone. If ghosts do want revenge, the worst they can do is knock, the poor souls lol. I would hardly call that revenge.
(for the record i dont believe in ghosts)

I don't know about revenge...but they can make their negative feelings known. eg. My Grandma's husband came to visit my mother after the my grandma had died. He had sold off all her possessions without consulting any of her children - when he left a skater made of Crystal exploded in the cabinet into a thousand tiny fragments - there was no logical explanation - mum to this day suggests that it was my grandma who was furious with her husband for what he did.

Yes, I believe they can. Evil can harm good in any form, whether it's an earthly human being trying to hurt the living or an evil spirit of a dead person like Hitler -- evil is as omnipresent as good.

seeing as it takes a lot of effort for ghosts to manifest in the first place then i guess only really determined spirits could! one of the main reasons why ghost hunters run about with thermometers, emf meters and other assorted gimcrack is because of the belief that spirits must draw on natural forms of energy to manifest, and even then the results are very weak. unless you have a really nasty poltergeist you're unlikely to be physically hurt.

i believe if a person lives their lives like they were constantly being watched or being tormented by the dearly departed then yes they can take a revenge on the person but in all actuality it is the person beating up on theirselves that person is long gone and i m sure their afterlife does not consist of following you around and saying boo

yes i do they can do so many things to get back at someone have you ever had something go wrong after buiring a person who you pissed off or have you ever been near a haunted house where the people who lived there before were not very nice and also have you ever had horrorable dream and you do not know what was going on or better yet when you have these bad dreams d you ever see this person who you pissed off

NO the dead are conscious of Nothing. Demons can impersonate dead ones and use this as a vehicle to vent their evil.
