Assuming this has no payroll limitations and trying to keep a 'younger' lineup here goes:

Starters:
Johan Santana
Francisco Liriano
Roy Halladay
Chris Carpenter
Carlos Zambrano

Closer:
Johnathan Papelbon

Bullpen:
K-Rod
JJ Putz
BJ Ryan
Huston Street
Joel Zumaya
Chris Ray
Roy Oswalt

1B: Albert Pujols
2B: Alfonso Soriano
3B: David Wright
SS: Jose Reyes
OF: Carl Crawford
OF: Carlos Beltran
OF: Vlad Guerrero
C: Joe Mauer

Bench:
Brian McCann
Ryan Howard
Chase Utley
Jason Bay
Miguel Cabrera

As for a manager I think I could handle that job with these guys

1) LF - Carl Crawford (Devil Rays)
2) SS - Derek Jeter (Yankees)
3) RF - Bobby Abreu (Yankees)
4) 1B - Ryan Howard (Phillies)
5) 3B - Miguel Cabrera (Marlins)
6) 2B - Chase Utley (Phillies)
7) C - Joe Mauer (Twins)
8) CF - Grady Sizemore (Indians)
9) Pitcher

SP1 - Johan Santana (Twins)
SP2 - Roy Halladay (Jays)
SP3 - Francisco Liriano (Twins)
SP4 - Chien-Ming Wang (Yankees)
SP5 - Scott Kazmir (Devil Rays)

LR - Scott Proctor (Yankees)
MR - Mike Myers (Yankees)
MR - Rafael Soriano (Mariners)
MR - Cla Merideth (Padres)
SU - Joel Zumaya (Tigers)
CL - Jonathan Papelbon (Red Sox)

OF - Melky Cabrera (Yankees)
C - Brian McCann (Braves)
IF - Miguel Cairo (Yankees)
IF - Mike Lamb (Astros)
OF - Jason Tyner (Twins)
1B/OF - Ross Gload (White Sox)

Note that my starters nicely balance speed, defensive ability and power... as opposed to a team of sluggers. OBP was a major consideration. Jeter was chosen for leadership on what would be an otherwise very young squad. Abreu and Crawford beat out more powerful outfielders via their speed and ability to get on base.

My bench guys were chosen almost completely based on proven ability to deal with limited playing time and still produce, plus their versatility defensively.

The bulpen is solid and situational, and should be effective.
