k i have an assignment where i have to pick a leader of my choice and do a research on him/her and state what made him/her a effective leader...so any suggestions are welcome(to pick a leader)

However, if you really wanted to do something off the wall and quite daring, do it on Hitler. Seriously. No doubt he was completely off his rocker however, he was a monumentally effective leader.

Why limit it to political leaders? What about coroporate leaders? The CEO's of Southwest Airlines and Costco would be excellent choices. Both have strong companies with strong balance sheets, and are dearly loved by their employees. What is that they are doing that's so different?

Hitler was a good one, maybe someone from the Communist Party in the Soviet Union, like Lenin. Do someone that others won't do (don't do JFK or GWB) because your teacher will have a bunch of those to read anyways, so by the time he/she gets to yours, you will be in trouble.

How about George W. Bush as governor of Texas. Though many folks aren't happy with him, he is still a powerful fella.
