Stress can do all sorts of strange things to your body, including rapid weight loss and it depends on how overweight you were to begin with. Several contestants on Celebrity Fit Club lost incredible amounts of weight in just a week!! Try not to worry about it and if you don't want to visit your doctor, try the Practice Nurse (if there is one at your surgery); they have more time to spend with you and can monitor your weight, send you for blood tests etc. and generally put your mind at ease. Take care

Well, this depends on how much water weight you lost (that can be up to 10 pounds, if anyone is interested!) So you may have only lost 20 actual pounds so, if it is safe to lose about 3 to 4 pounds per week, then you are right on track.

If you are worried, you should go to see a doctor, have your blood pressure measured and get a stress test done.

Yes! That is too much weight to lose in that short amount of time. You should only lose 1-3 pounds a week. In 6 weeks a healthy amount of weight loss would be 6-18 pounds.

Slow down. Start eating more.

Not at all I lost 38lbs in less than a month and I am looking better than ever, and all I did was follow doctors orders. I went on a strict diet for the one month and I ma now slowly getting back to eating normal foods.

I agree, you should talk to a doctor. You may have some weird disease. That much weight isn't very healthy...

As long as you are still eating and don't feel bad, then I see no problem. Talk to your doctor just to be sure if you are worried about it.
