Please put what's most important on top (and least important on the bottom). I'm trying to find out what I should use and not use on the website I am designing. Thanks in advance for any thoughts or experiences.

I plan to use just basic HTML, but I welcome all suggestions. Thanks again!

Color and background - Good text contrast and no goofy psychedelic backgrounds.
Speed of loading page - I don't need a 5meg flash download to enter the site. Likewise, an option to have small pics or detailed ones.
Navigation that is easy to locate and click - I will not hunt around forever to find where I want to go.
"back" navigation as well
If it's a site with 'shopping', an EVER present 'cart' and checkout option - I shouldn't have to go "Back" a dozen times each time i add to a cart.
Ultra SECURITY - that includes validation of completion of shopping experience - email to my email with confirmation and follow up through the ordering process.

1. A good color scheme where all the text is clearly seen and readable- simple font not a fancy one

2. Some pictures or logos but nothing too detailed or over whelming

3. make sure all links to other pages are at the top or left side of the page and the transisition is smooth page to page with one simple click- we all hate slow loading videos or ads that slow us down

4. too many ads on each page- takes away from your focus

5. make sure there is good contact information somewhere on the site- your phone number, address, email, fax, etc.

all of these i think are important

1. It is really annoying when the page takes forever to load because of a video or something on the page
2. Keep it simple with a few pics and to the point
3. That everything is easy to find and access
4.There are extra links in case ya dont find what you need
5. A welcome and short explination of the web site and its workings
Hope this helps you!!

CSS is much easier to change around than HTML.
