Is there a way to block him from texting me? I do not call him. I do not respond to his text messages nor do I answer his phone calls. These messages are becoming increasingly disturbing. Short of reporting him to the authorities what can I do to eliminate these harrassing messages? (as they are not threatening). I haven't seen this guy in 15 years. I am HAPPILY married with two children. I'm ready to just post his number on the internet just to have others harrass him the way he harrasses me. I have asked him to leave me alone, and he hasn't. He has driven past my house (this is what he has admitted to me--the only proof I have of that is he commented that my roof was finally completed). He only knows where I live because when he and I dated, my parents lived down the street from him, and he found my address online. Since he hasn't technically "threatened me", is this even harrassment? What can I do, other than changing my phone number? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me!

Change your number. I dont think you can block text msg but if you can then he'll probably use another phone/way to text you.
The best thing you should do is change your number, tell someone, your husband, then the police.
This sounds like it might get ou of hand so be careful.
Good Luck

Have you tried going to the authority to file a report on disturbing and probably dangering your life as well as your family member since he keeps doing all things like that, which makes you feel nervous when you see him or hear from him? Also, you can change your number like you said, or call the phone company and asks them to block his number. Just keep a look out personally for him for your safety.

Ask your provider, I know with land lines there is a *number that you can blocks certain callers...Is texting very important, can you just stop receiving them all together? In order to go to the authorities you will have to let him know ONCE that you wish him to stop or you will call the police, as soon as you tell him to stop-should he continue it is harrassment. Do not post his number then you will be liable.

That's horrible. Change your phone number (I know you don't want to but it would help). Or ask the police what legal action you can take, how and when. You don't need to take any but inquiring can't hurt. What does your husband think of this? He should be helping you too. I'm sorry you're in this situation and I wish I had some better advice for you. You don't deserve it, just remember that.

Contact the police. Sexual harassment via phone lines or internet is a crime, and now a more serious one with more strengthened punishments.
And Contact your service provider and request that any messages or calls from that number be blocked. Don't take no for an answer if they tell you they "can't".

I would definitely call the police. If that doesn't work then maybe gather up some really large male friends and family members to give this guy a call or visit.

If someone constantly contacts you that much it is harrassment. ..and it is illegal. Take it to the police and press charges. If you do nothing he will continue. In addition you should also change your number and make it unlisted.

i don't think it's really harrassment, you're just probably annoyed. just text him one time to tell him that you don't like receiving text messages from him and that you are happily married now. and if he still doesn't stop then tell him you'll report him to the cops

i don't reali watch too much tv but in movies they show us these things...it can get really bad..i mean reali bad...wen u deal with him, be tactful and vert very careful coz he is probably able to loose it all and unleash the monster in him... start with it as man to man(ur husband having a talk with him)the authorities may help, blocking ur phone/changing numbers..... if all fails,he is insane and mental hospital is best for him..................
