San Francisco, California!! Go to North Beach, it's the best area and everything is there. Another wonderful place is the central coast on the Monterey Bay. Look up Monterey Bay Aquarium, they have the best real time web site ever. Of course you have the Great Barrier Reef but ours very well might be the best aquarium in the world. Sorry you lost your guy Steve Irwin by the way.
Southern Calif. is the pits, northern is too cold and desolate but from maybe Big Sur and north to Marin county is very cool and the real California you read about and see pix of. It's also very liberal.

California: Fly into San Fransisco and see all that beautiful city has to offer like the golden gate bridge and Pier 39... then drive down the beautiful Pacific Coast Highway (a popular road in many movies) and see the beautiful ocean. You can stop along the way in some cute little cities and see Hearst Castle. A little further south you can stop and go wine tasting in San Ynez... then head on down to Santa Barbara... and continue along the coast to Los Angeles to see Hollywood, Universal Studios, Pantages theater, and Rodeo Drive in Beverly hills... Then drive down to Orange County and see the home of Disneyland... and travel down to San Diego and see that beautiful city.
Another place you may want to visit is Las Vegas. Las Vegas is in Nevada and only a 4 hour drive from Orange County, California. From there you can see Hoover Dam and make a loop over to the Colorado river.
Another great place is in Arizona. See the Grand Canyon! Beautiful!!

at an identical time as in l. a.: in case you have a motive force's license evaluate utilising up the coast to San Francisco--CA has a mind-blowing sea coast. great stops alongside the way incorporate Santa Barbara, Hearst fort (the magnificent sources of the guy 'Citizen Kane' is consistent with), huge Sur, Monterey, and Santa Cruz. Spend some days wandering around SF, then head to Yosemite national Park (that's between the main mind-blowing places on earth.) l. a. is likewise approximately 4 hrs with the help of motor vehicle from Las Vegas, and eight hours faraway from the Grand Canyon (that's additionally between the main mind-blowing places on earth.) San Diego (2-3 hours to the south) is likewise properly worth vacationing, and precise next to the Mexican border--nonetheless i'm uncertain how secure Tijuana is presently. From manhattan, Washington DC and Boston could the two be stable weekend journeys. Chicago is likewise a fantastically astonishing city (nonetheless you will in reality ought to fly there, and city is properly worth countless days of it sluggish.)

Without a doubt; Florida, first.
Then go to ORLANDO, next TAMPA, next TITUSVILLE. All 3 are accessable by major roads, a bit of a drive, but about 3 hours apart.
Lots of attractions, lots of theme parks, beaches, Kennedy Space Center, etc, etc. If you want to get a good taste of America - come to Florida.
Any time left over? Drive up to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee.

That would depend on what you like to do :)
If you have family or you're young at heart, Florida's Disney World is a must-see.
New York, NY if you like shopping or lots of activity going on.
Colorado if you like to ski!
Newport, Rhode Island if you like beaches and cooler temperatures.
Las Vegas Nevada if you like shows and gambling.
etc. etc. etc.
Figure out the things you are most interested in doing/seeing and search online for the best locations for it.
I KNOW you'll enjoy your visit here! Have fun!
