Just normal briefs will do. No protective gear worn, but this is one of the fastest ball sports in the world and I have seen grown men being brought to their knees at the net with a well placed "passing shot"...

Nope, and i have played since i was 4. I have never been hit in the nutties during competition, but i have in practice twice.
