There's this guy in science class that sits to my left, and he always wants to pass notes. The first day it was kind of fun, but now I don't want to anymore. I don't want to be mean or anything, so what should I do?

Just stop and tell him exactly what you've said here. You didn't say anything that bad. Tell him to pass you the note after class.
