"Whatever mistakes have been made in Iraq, the worst mistake would be to think that if we pulled out, the terrorists would leave us alone" <---Would this be the case if we had never invaded Iraq?

"They will not leave us alone. They will follow us. The safety of America depends on the outcome of the battle in the streets of Baghdad." <-- Does this mean that if we pull out of Iraq, the Iraqis will come to America and start a new war in our streets?

"I am often asked why we are in Iraq when Saddam Hussein was not responsible for the 9/11 attacks," Bush said. "The answer is that the regime of Saddam Hussein was a clear threat. <---Iraq needed a Regime change? Wasn't it a based on false information? Doesn't China, North Korea, Cuba, and Iran need a regime change? If I remember correctly, the war was based on WMD's, why is the justification now a Regime Change?

Not only in Iraq but all over the world, even in our Nation are there terrorists that want to destroy America, yet he seems focused on Iraq being the only harbor of Terrorists. I'm sure Saudi Arabia is more of a Terrorist supporter.

The war on terror is a sham, if it was that important to him and his administration, the borders would be tight, secure and monitored throughly.

The invasion of Iraq has created more of a hate towards America and created more terrorists that would attack us, Thanks Bush for your Great Job, Asshole.

Recruit more Iraqi Army and Security forces, secure and close down borders in Iraq to prevent weapons smuggling and foreigners from entering. Have the UN provide soldiers to help with the training and security of Iraq. Establish a government and military capable of keepin Iraq secure from illegal entry and weapon smuggling as well as security and fairness to its own people. "stay the course" will not do anything but bankrupt America.

Calling anybody who doesn't support HIS war a nazi sympathizer is not exactly how one goes about trying to get the country to unite behind his WAR. I also find it disburbing how Cheney keeps insisting there is a tie between Sadaam and 9/11 and yet Bush says the exact oppsosite!

WAKE UP AMERICA!

The War was always based on WMD's and having a regime change because of the way he treated his people.

To your second one, man you are either stupid or trying to be funny. He meant since terrorists are in Iraq, fighting us, that if we left, they would not just leave us alone. Which he stated in the first quote.

the first quote is no, they would still be after us, i mean they have attacked us before Iraq so why would they not keep attacking us?

EDIT: Why only Saddam? Well i will tell you. He did not comply to UN inspectors. All of the intelligence we had said that he had WMDs. So are you the stupid one? Bush explained everything in his speech, he even explained that. And your questions up there answer one another. So Bush's idea was to protect yourself first so that you can protect others later, you must be a complete moron. We will be helping other countries as soon as Iraq looks like it can defend itself, unless a liberal idioit gets into power(notice i said liberal, and idioit, not necessarily the same thing)

Remeber, now that the US is in Iraq, they pull out, terrorists pull in. There hasn't been a battle fought in the US since WWII, when japan attacked pearl harbor. They pull out, there might probably be battles in here. Not that I support the war in Iraq, but it's something that the terrorists can be busy on.

I do agree that you can't pull out from Iraq yet.The US government started this mess, created more terrorists there and if you are to pull out now it WILL become security issue to americans.HOWEVER you should NOT allow the Bush administration to deal with this issue. They have proovn incompetent by invading Iraq in the first place

Spase...

You hear what you want to hear and you twist it to suit your reasoning.

How can you do this and not realize how foolish it looks?

You people who blindly follow these conspiracy theories and look for any reason to discredit our President and our country are fools.

Heaven help us.

I like Bush's appearances on Sept. 10th. better. He was silent and didn't lie to America once ... I knew it wouldn't last though, with the following day being the 11th..
