No, all it takes is ONE sperm cell to fertilze an egg. One ejaculation relases millions of sperm cells.

Upping the quantity of semen that is ejaculated seems to be a near-universal male concern -- and there are a number of reasons underlying this. For many men, it is a matter of confidence; a bigger load is associated with increased libido, fertility and sexual prowess. After all, there's a reason why porn directors call it "the money shot."

Yet this desire stems from more than simple vanity. Increased volume translates into increased potency (the more sperm, the better the chance of impregnation) and increased pleasure (the larger the load, the greater number of pleasurable muscle contractions).

So what are the factors that determine just how much comes out? To begin with, there are those elements that play a role in all other matters of the body: heredity, age, diet, and overall health. While the first two are obviously out of your control, dietary adjustments can improve the volume of your ejaculate.

Amino acids such as L-Arginine and L-Lysine, zinc, and the Horny Goat Weed plant are all said to help up quantity, as is increasing your daily fluid intake.

An overall state of fitness is usually accompanied by good blood circulation, which can also help ejaculation. If you want a specific group of exercises that will target penis performance, start working out your PC muscle.

Frequency of sexual activity also contributes to volume -- although only to a certain degree. If you abstain for a day or two, you'll certainly produce more sperm than you would ejaculating every few hours. But any longer than this one- to two-day timeframe, and you won't see much of make a difference, as semen reservoirs will have stopped building up a supply.

I personnaly think the only time you need to worry about your ejaculate, outside of possible medical complications and fertility of course, is when you are shooting p*rn.

In p*rn, everything is "larger than life"; it is an exageration of what male fantasies could be, or sometimes are, but blown out of proportion.

Lately they ("they" as in internet frauds & companies) have marketed a series of products (mainly pills) which apparently increase volume/thickness, and velocity ("power") of semen. But this is still viewed as being highly untrue, and still open to debate. Still, these companies like to SPAM your email box full of their crap, often sounding too good to be true... most of the time it is just that; sounds so great, it is false advertising.

But if you shoot p*rn and want to have a decent ejaculation for the camera, it's not just a series of quick cuts, re-edits, proper lighting and camera angles. There are things you can take (zinc and lecithin supplements) and foods you can eat (oats, celery, soy protein, etc...) which will help slightly increase quantity and / or thickness, but THERE IS NO MIRACLE recipe. In my case, when I need to shoot a p*rn scene, I often refrain from masturbation for 2 to 3 days to make sure my semen has time to "fully" charge.

But unless you need to impress someone or shoot p*rn, you really don't need to increase your ejaculate. If you wish to pursue this, let me know how it works out!

One sperm does it all.

If your partner is on birth control, then more *** results in a bigger mess - some enjoy it and others bring out the towels.

As the other poster mentioned, amino acids increase the volume because *** is nothing but proteins, sugars and water - like an egg white.

I assume you're asking because you and your wife/girlfriend are trying to conceive. If that's the case, then yes the volume does matter. The more sperm you have and the more mobile they are, the better chance your wife/girlfriend has to conceive. Of course you have to make sure when your trying to conceive that your wife is ovulating.

Volume is only good if you are in porno's, makes for a better money shot. As far as real life, the volume doesn't matter as there are 5 million sprem released when you orgasm.

No. But, if there is very little, a doctor might say you need to do something to increase it a little. Also, the quality does matter. But do you really want Niagra Falls to come out anyway?

I presume you are talking about making babies!! No the quantity does not matter - it's the number of sperm that counts. If you are worried about the quanitity, make sure you drink plenty of water!! Simple as that!!

It doesn't really matter the volume. It matters the quality only (if you want to have children, of course)

Some men naturally produce more than others.
If you want to improve the quantity, try taking zinc.
