I understand what you mean. If i think about it, they creep me out too, the way they can just hold every detail of everything that's in the room. But that's only when I think about it. Most times it's just my reflection lol.
My friend did tell me something interesting once, though. She's doing a psychology course and they had a lecture once exploring things that sometimes just cant be rationally explained. One of the things was that if injured, you actually heal faster if you're infront of a mirror, and they've done tests that prove this but still cant explain it.
I asked my father (whos very european and superstitious), and he told me they use to tell him stories in his old village that a healer lives on the other side of a mirror.
Freaky huh!

I love mirrors. I think they can show a persons aura too. Look at a friend then check them out in the mirror ..some people look alot different.

I have broken mirrors and not had 7 years bad luck, I just have normal luck, sometimes things go my way, other times they go against me, but I think they are just a mirror.

Actually I have learned to look behind smoke and mirrors and see what is real, but more so in the 3 D world. I believe that what you are referring to is " psycomantium ". Reminds me of an Oprah show I watched several years ago where this person actually connected with other life times and the spiritual world. Never tried it, but now you have my interest peaked. I may just try this. Let me know what your experience is.

Completely a gateway. I use a black mirror for divination and it's an amazingly powerful tool. Plus, if you've ever read Susannah Clarke's Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell...the land behind the mirrors in that book is always what occurs to me. Creepytastic.

I guess I am okay with them. I wear prescription glasses and one pair has mirrored lenses. I got them because my eyes have become sensitive to light and girls seem to like them. I have also been able to collect a lot souls over the years. I plan to cash in some for cool products, however, I can spare a few if anyone's looking.

They're nice, look good and help you tidy yourself up. Superstitions around them are interesting. On Halloween after performing a spell you can see your soul mate in the mirror apparently and mirrors were covered after a death on the house so the spirit wouldn't be caught in them. Its your perspective really.

just as you are right handed and left handed
your brain is right sided and left sided
when you use a mirror to look at the world around yourself
your brain sees everything in reverse perspective just as if you had walked into a room you had never stood in before.
this kicks the brain up into a slightly higher thinking level as you are looking and thinking about the things around you that you normally ignore. this higher awareness of surroundings is a good exercise for the mind psychic or otherwise.
but that is about all its good for.

They tend to creep me out a bit. However, scrying mirrors I do believe can be a gateway to another plane of existance.
