Not that I'm criticising celebrating St Andrew. But a day off in the most miserable month? Do we really want it?

It's not an extra day. They're swapping it for another public holiday - probably in July when we could actually venture outside

Another wee attempt at Vote buying by His Highness "wee" Jack.. What is really sad is - he spins a not bad spin for a wee man ..and the confused Scottish voter may believe he is actually giving us Another holiday - when in fact he plans to nick some other day in exchange. I agree I would prefer my day off in a Summer month rather than on the end of November..but if it is another day - I will swap him for my vote.

I'll take a day off whenever I can get it. And as far as it being the most miserable month - hey, that just means a miserable day when I don't have to get up and go to work. But I'm in a service/delivery business, so it does make work harder for me when some get the holiday and others don't. I won't have the holiday, for one.

Any day off is a bonus to me, and so what if it is cold, put some more layers on, get out there into the park with your loved one and get some fresh air, it's much more exhilarating than breathing in hot soupy summer air.

Another day off.... and what is wrong with that? A day off is a day off. I can ALWAYS find something to do even if i just stay home and catch up on something.
