You can get Microsoft Word Viewer for free.
Otherwise, try Open Office.

Find someone to give you the CD along with the license, OR
try a free and legal download of www.openoffice.org - chance are it's better than whatever old/obsolete verison of Word you'd find. It's a very good package.
