You need to install the software for your phone - you should have got a disc with the data cable, or if not, go to the phone manufacturers website and most of them will have the software for you to download free.
Alternatively, if you have infrared on your phone and PC, it's by far easier to do it that way - just point and send!
Good luck - hope this helps.

Don't feel alone! I'm completely livid about the inability to do the same. We've got Motorola Phone Tools & disk & cable & efforts to transfer continuously FAIL! The odd part is that we have had no trouble in the past but obviously something has been altered in the process to preclude satisfaction. I suspect one of the new versions of an 'automatic update' from Microsoft has squashed the ability to recognise the program & we are stranded until some brainiac discovers a way to 'charge' us for the privilege! It was probably discovered that we were transfering from the multimedia studio of the cell phone to the computer & negating the need for 'photo services' at the malls & drug stores around the planet so now we are waiting for the 'beta' to further the finance of world markets. I'm not saying conspiracy 'theory', I'm say conspiracy result! If I'm wrong, I apologise but face it, the answer to the question is: Are you able to transfer phone pix to your computer? Me neither! +2

If the data cable is a USB, then all you need to do is install the software. Once installed just bring it up, plug in the camera, windows will install the device and the software will work with you. Also once the camera is installed it becomes a drive. Doube click on My computer and you will see a new Drive letter I.e Z or E, double click you will see the pictures there.

there are a few ways to do it
1.) direct cable connection : you should get a CD with your phone you install them and using the usb cable you can transfer all the data into your computer
2.) InfraRed or Bluetooth : if your PC has a one of these ports you just simply turn on your both phone and PC InfraRed or Bluetooth
3.) Email: you can email your pics to your email address (not every phone has this ability)

You should have received a cd with your mobile. If not go to your mobile company on the web and download it. download with out the usb connected. Shut down your Pc and connect your usb cable with out the mobile attached and boot the pc back up. When on your desktop connect your mobile and your mobile may say connect ok to default. click ok to this on your mob. Leave a few seconds and the software should load up and advise you of the pictures and ask something like get photos. do this and they should come up. You may be missing adobe photo shop which may be needed for your type of phone

If you don't have a USB cable and the software to do it with; you may just want to consider emailing them from your camera phone to your yahoo Photos account and then save them to your hard drive from there:)

You have to down load the software that came with the camara or I think software like Corel photo album will do it but check.
then you need the USB cable to connect the camara to the PC,simply follow the instructions from the software after that.

via bluetooth or infra-red usually.
you need a USB "dongle" to do this. These usually come with a Sortware CD that you need to install.
This is the ONLY way, i can think of, that it is physically possible to do this.
Hope this helps.
