What is your budget (in USD)? Are you coming for work or as a tourist? If you have work in Gurgaon, there are several guesthouses that let out rooms for around US$50 per night. If you are a tourist, you may want to stay in Delhi, as it will be easier for you to move around. There are many low-cost hotels and hostels in and around Karol Bagh, Paharganj etc.
