Nope.
They simply show you what the balance of your team scored. Only your active starters count toward your score for the week.
In some leagues, though rare, bench scoring can be used for tie-breakers. (In the vent of a tie, the team with the most points on the bench, wins.) I have seen this most often in CBS Sportsline leagues.

Bench points are there to make you feel sick to your stomach when you lose and notice that if you wouldn't have made that move and put in the player that everyone was speaking so highly of on NFL Countdown, then you would have won the game.

No usually bench points are just there to see how you would have done if you started the other players. They are however used in tie breaker situations in most leagues though.

Bench points dont count, they just make you hit yourself over your head when they are more than your actual scores.
