may have arthritis in ankle, have swollen and sore achilles tendon/heel. Would like to know if there are any natural remedies i can take to help the soft tissue heal faster

Hi. I suffered from arthritis in my hands and knees and found and use a natural which absorbs more readily than drug based products. Not allowed to advertise product here, but will answer via my profile. Soft tissue damage takes a long time to heal, get some proper exercises from your Doctor of Physiotherapist, and make sure you do them all. Can take three months at least. By the way, my arthritis rarely bothers me now.

I had achillies tendonitis last year and went to the doc and he sent me to a physio. He said not to wear heals, have shoes with plenty of cushioning and gave me three stretches to do twice a day, you have to stretch to elongate the tendon, if you wear heels it heals in a shortened position...the most important thing he said was not to jar it, not to run or walk or jump on hard surfaces as that would jolt and tear it more and lead to more scaring in the ligment. So do stretches, plenty of cushioning - oh and it can take 6 to 12 months to heal so treat it gently and don't rush it.
