As best I can tell, a song called "And I Know You" was written (lyrics and music) by Robert Hunter. Hunter played with Jerry Garcia and wrote lyrics for many Grateful Dead songs.

The link below has the lyrics and this peculiar note: "And I Know You" was never played by the Dead (nor, so far as I know by Robert Hunter himself)."

I searched Amazon, and no song by anyone with that title can be found.

Ugh. That song lyric is now stuck in my head. I think there is another song, other than the Dead, who have the lyric. But I just can put finger on it. Urggggh. Hope someone can answer...

Did that drowning guy song by Phil Collins have a lyric something like that, maybe?

You can visit www.dead.net, it's Grateful dead official homepage, I'm sure you'll get something there.
