I go see a new movie that has come out with some friends, or we head out to a concert, perhaps we will go to someones house and veg with the xbox or some board game. Sometimes if there is a festival going on we will head to the festival. (Boston always has a festival going on) Sometimes we have a relaxing meal, play frisbee at the park...and if I am all peopled out, sometimes I sit at home and relax.

Used to when I'm in a highly exceptionaly great mood or dpressingly bad mood but I always wake up so sick I haven't taken alcohol for some time now. So I clean/ read or watch movies or playing disturbing loud music - Pop-rock music.

I think I've spent over 90% of the Friday nights in my life either being bored at home or cleaning.

My friend drinks very little, well it would be more correct to say she doesn't drink, she just has soft drinks, or fruit juice drinks, alot of bars now have alcohol free cocktails or alochol free beer and wine.

In 50+ years, i have only deliberately gone out on a Friday night for a drink, on about 6 occasions. And, as l like neither the taste nor smell of beer and lager, nor spirits (in general ...and I can't stand the smell of 'Indian' food and, fish n chips can stink too), then this does put limitations on the whole concept.

I can't understand why 'getting smashed out of your skull' resembles 'having a good time'......!!!!!!!!! Nor the after effects too ...other than to wear as some kind of medal for the effort.

I worked in a hospital for some years and watched the detrius crawl in, fall out the back of ambulances, and abuse people who were there 'to take care of them.'

Personally, there were those who I would have 'marked' (with paint, for example) as 'Not Wanted Back,' and left them out there to get on with it. They cared nothing about anything but their own 'Good times' - whilst expecting Some One to clean up their vomit (blood, broken teeth and bits too).

Part of my un-Christian feeling towards them has to do with 'their getting in the way of others' who need attention, and of their seeming ''indifference'' to the effects on others, and their ''indifference'' to their abuse of others ...whilst having expectations of them.

Finally, the concept of 'pouring it in one end so that it could be peed out the other...' Well, even as a kid it struck me as a 'strange thing to do' ...and pay money to do it too!!
