Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

* Successful Free-Lancing: The Complete Guide to Establishing and Running Any Kind of Freelance Business by Marian Faux
* Freelancing for Dummies by Susan M. Drake
* Six-Figure Freelancing ® by Kelly James-Enger

There are plenty of free informational resources out there. Check the source box for links to articles.

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

Tie up with leading Magazine and News Papers, and Market Advertising Space for them in your area. In process you will get many other Marketing assignments.

hi there,

elance and guru are great resources as mentioned in a previous post. also contact companies such as advertising agencies that you can handle work for them if they get to busy or otherwise jammed up. i pick up quite a bit of work from contacts like that. also craigs list (craigslist.org) has a creative listing section that you can place ads free of charge. do it, you will find work from there. once you get a client base your work will grow trust me.

Hi,

I don't think there is such thing as best way. It all depends on your budget.

There are free/low cost and expnesive methods to advertise, and all work. Obviously you might start with free methods...
