I am emigrating to Philippines next year from UK and i'm keen to find a soulmate and companion, maybe even a wife, who knows, Where can i start to look now to find such a person. Can someone recommend a site where i can meet Philippines residents, especially females, without using stupid mail order bride companies.i disagree with their ethics entirely.

How about meeting someone the same way that you would in the UK? Like, walking down the street, cafe', grocery shopping. You know normal ways.

No need at all, you can't hurry love, it's something that happens. I guarantee though that if you come here you will not be on your own for long. Women outnumber men here by a long way.
If it's to be, it will be.
Remember you are a person an individual, so are the Filipina women, all of us are unique. If you have honest and good intentions, you will not have a problem.
The Filipina is emancipated, and as in any marriage you should both be equals. Share the good and share the bad.
No judging by your comments regarding certain agencies, I am sure that you are looking for true love. You will find it when you are least looking, maybe you will hire a housegirl, and one of her friends or relatives will visit, eyes meet and kerpow. One cannot say where one will find their true love. I met my wife by sheer chance, and it was like magic, totaly unexpected. My friends, cousin's daughter's friend, they were dropping off some farm produce, whilst accompanying another friend to see her brother. Suddenly for both of us there was no one else in the world. Two recently broken hearts mended.

You are not a pervert. You are simply a nice guy, probably tired of western women, and there less than feminine ways. Perhaps you want a nice bride who is not sporting a tattoo on her breast! Or a traditional woman who will stay with you through thick and thin?
Not all of these mail order outfits are bad....its just a way for them to make a few dollars by selling Ladies addresses...it's not that bad...Heart of Asia is a good one....but your list might be old by the time you get it...
The thing is, what you might find attractive and what I would want in a woman are probably different. That is why its good to get some names of ladies you like the looks of before you go there....at least you have a start...mind you...once you go there, you will be transfixed by the nice looking and friendly young ladies....the married ones will keep their distances...

Heard from a friend that there's this American guy who meets girls who works at grocery counters. lol There's also this foreign guy who posted an ad on a local newspaper. I guess if you're emigrating here soon, you can also try meeting girls working as cashiers or baggers at grocery counters or posting an ad at the local newpapers. I'm sure with you being a foreigner, you'll stick out in the crowd and if you're walking alone, I'll bet that there be lots of winks from girls who be interested in you. Oh!! Another trick you can try... lol Pretend that you're waiting for somebody outside the girl's restrooms and for sure you'll get a smile or two... even a wink!! ;)

I have foreign friends though who told me they found their dates on filipina heart.com i personally don`t know the site but as what i`ve heard from my friends i guess its ok. You can try... hey man im glad i found ur question before it expired. before i came to japan, id never known any filipinas at all. im from a town with less than 3K ppl, all caucasian, very rural, baseball and apple pie kinda town. so then i join the military and im all over. i got to japan and my buddy got me hooked on myspace. i didnt speak japanese so it was hard to meet friends. i got on myspace and all the japanese locals there spoke english, so i had ppl to hang with right away off base. and thats how i met my wife-to-be. theres a lotta haters out there, ppl who are jealous, who havent found that person...theyre gonna tell u online dating is crap, its not real, ppl are fake, they only want ur money, you name it...i can tell you honestly that when i met my filipina wife, she was the most sincere, honest and beautiful person id ever met. shes from manila which is only like 4 hours from me. she found my profile from a friend and we started talking. just as friends. but after a few months, we decided wed start something up. yeah it was work. we couldnt see each other for about 4 months. i had to save up enough leave to travel there to spend time with her. so yeah it was a leap of faith. i spent about $700 flying to the philippines to spend 17 days with a girl i hadnt met in person before but thats how powerful we felt. i mean, who do u know would go 1000 miles to be with someone theyd never met in person? yeah i was totally head over heels for her. i went there, we spent those 17 days together and it told me everything i needed to know. weve been engaged now about 6 months and are set to be married in november and its the happiest ive ever been. im a big advocate of this man, and u have nothing to lose. myspace doesnt cost you anything and it isnt mail order brides. you sign up, get an account and then u click browse, and ur search area. in ur case, itll be philippines, and then just look for a girl that sparks your interest. make sure your searching for girls who are looking for the same thing you are. some are taken, some arent, some just want friends, and others are lookin for a husband. just depends. but im totally here to help man. just message me if u got any questions. i met the love of my life this way, its totally worth a shot. good luck. lemme knwo how it turns out for u

I think you should browse Yahoo IM then go to regional then go to Philippines chat room. maybe you can chat with somebody & who knows she might be the lucky/unlucky one. I had so many friends which I can recommend but I dont know you personaly, so it's hard as you know for security reasons. Goodluck
