No more juices, period. Substitute dried fruits which are low in sugar. Also sugar free applesauce (refrigerated taste great).
Alot of what we eat has refined sugar - bread, chips, pasta, etc.. You need to do some research online and take those instructions to the grocery store. Plan on spending 2 hrs and really find out what your grocery store has (and what they will order for you).
Diabetes is preventable, you just have to be smart about it. And don't fall into the "family" trap like so many and think you're doomed. You can do this!!!! :)

Splash makes diet or no sugar added juices. Once you eliminate sugars you will find it hard to eat or drink full sugar foods. The no sugar added Ice Creams are good now also. The juices are in the standard juice aisle at the grocery.
Diabetic web sites will tell you everything you need to know. But jump on that diet NOW. Once it becomes diabetes it is hard to correct.
Eliminate the following (eat occasionally only)
Potatoes, rice, pasta, bread (use whole grain
breads not white refined) We like Arnold's 12 whole grain bread. All of these white products convert to sugar in your system, they are the same as eating candy.
I think they have Diabetes for Dummies at the book store. Good Luck!

A great diet book is Dr. Ian's Smash the Fat Diet book. He shows people that we can be healthy just by eating lots of vegetables and fruits. If you need to cut out sugar then I would recommend no cookies even though they are sugar free. You should replace your sweet tooth cravings with fruit. Natural is the way to go and so many people waste money on pills and potions to get better health when the simple solution is fruits and vegetables. Also eat whole grain everything, bread, pasta, whatever. White grains and breads have processed starch that is hard to digest and can turn into sugar.

Supermarkets do have sugar free drinks and juices, always look at the label on the back of everything for the sugar content. Also many foods have hidden sugars in them. There are many web. sites that will list these foods and drinks.

yes, they do, just read the label.
however, juice is full of fruit sugar which will send up your blood sugar as fast as white sugar.
i would cut juices out entirely.
if you must have them, dilute with water
you should get one of those machines that measure your blood sugar by pricking your finger and get your doctor to tell you when to do a reading. your insurance may cover this. this will let you know exactly how what you eat and drink will affect your sugar levels. then you will know what and how much you can eat or drink.
try this link they have great recipes and you can learn a lot.

On one of our Houston TV news websites they have a link to a hospital where you can research questions. I do think that most supermarkets have sugar free juices. Oh the website for Ch. 13 is abc13.com., click on the the health section and then click on the health questions or answers. I hope that helps you.

Yes you need to look for products marked with a stamp from the International diabeties association. Most of the products that say diet on them will have this stamp as well.

All juice has sugar, what you especially don't want is added sugar. Look for 100% juice, most juice has corn syrup and fructose, which you don't need.
