Hello, we have been trying for a baby since October, we were using condoms before that. I have been feeling so tired, by breasts are sore, and they have colustrum in them. Went out for dinner on Sunday and couldn't eat all my food, just felt full and bloated, very uncomfortable actually. I am due on tomorrow, I did a test last night, which was negative, could I still be pregnant?
Thanks Vicky

It is not normal for your breasts to begin producing colostrum until the fourth - sixth months of pregnancy, at the earliest. It could be something else. The earliest signs of pregnancy are breast tenderness, fatigue, and nausea so, if you do not get your next period, take a pregnancy test and you will know for sure. However, if you are not pregnant and still notice milk coming from your breast, you have to check out your Prolactin level. If the prolactin level is elevated, you then have to have imaging studies of your anterior pituitary gland in your brain to see why you are producing Prolactin. Your doctor will know what to do.

yes. most tests are only accurate enough to test from the 1st day of the missed period.its best to take a test from then. although, beware that your period could be late because you are worried about being pregnant. if you have a child already then that could be why you are producing colustrum - my daughters 3 now, i didnt breast feed but these past 6 months my boobs have been leaking like mad. the fatigue could be down to a lack of iron in your diet and the bloated-ness could also be from worry. there are many different explanations so the best thing to do would be to buy a test that has 2 tests in the box, take it, if its still negative then wait a couple of days and if you still havent had your period, then take the second test. if its still negative then see your doctor as it could be something more.

Home pregnancy tests are not always reliable. I would wait for a couple of days before you take the test again. Try taking the test first thing in the morning right when you get up. If you still haven't started your period and the test is still negative, call your Dr. and schedule a blood test. That is the only truly accurate way of knowing if you are pregnant. As far as colostrum goes, you shouldn't have that until the end of your pregnancy.

Could just be PMS, so I'd say wait a few days to test, if your period doesn't begin in the next day or so. And you would not be producing colustrum now - that doesn't start til you're several months into your pregnancy! It sounds more like PMS or IBS then pregnancy, but you never know! Good Luck!

Sounds likely. By the way, i did a pregnancy test when I felt pregnant and it came back negative, the pharmasist said it was too soon to tell (first day of missed period) so he said to do another test 3 days after, and it was positive. Remember the stronger your urine the more accurate the test, so don't wee for at least four hours before doing the test Good luck

Well first of all those tests aren't always right! But the colustrum thing does not sound correct as that only comes alot later on! I know because I had tons of it with my first pregnancy! I really hope everything works out for you! and if pregnant, congrats!!!

Absolutely! I am 11 weeks pregnant - the tiredness, sore breasts and bloatedness are all the signs I had before I took a positive test. My advice is to get a first response test as it can tell up to four days before your period is due. Most tests dont pick up on the pregnancy hormone this early

Good luck! xx

Well you could be or cudnt be...its a 50/50 chance...The reason for u to feel all bloated and full could be that u ate too much..and as in the back of your mind and unconsiously u so desperately want to get pregnant..that rite away ur mind n body said oh im pregnant...it happened with me too..exact same case..everytime i felt nauseated o tired ..i used to tell my self..oh my god m pregnant..and even the pregnancy test confirmed that its negative..So i would say its all your imagination and your body responding to your unconsious thinking!!!
but trust me..when the time is RIGHT..you WILL get pregnant..so dun worry..everythin happens on its time:)
take care!

each female is distinctive and a few women experience the hormonal result lots more suitable than others. i did no longer have indicators that undesirable. I remember (around 24 weeks or so) I basically felt emotional approximately each little thing! i replaced into crying at paintings, crying at abode and in some circumstances i did no longer even comprehend why i replaced into crying. i mandatory my hubby the main in this time. Having him carry me made me sense lots extra appropriate. It did bypass after some week or so and that i've got no longer experienced something like that considering that (btw, i'm 35w5d). i'm hoping I won't finally end up like that till now the newborn arrives.

Yes you could be as you have some of the signs. I would do the test again after the day your monthly's are due is if you still have not come on. But also it could be a sign your monthly's are coming.

Take care
