Some people just don't know how. Some girls don't know how to choose the correct shade(s) of foundation. Other people seem to think that all makeup should be as visible as possible, or there is no point in wearing any.

Probably because they don't know the proper shade to use. I found that going to a cosmetic counter in a big department store such as Macy's will help. They take the time to actually match it to your exact skin color. It probably seems expensive but by actually getting the proper color you save money. You also don't have to use it all over your face just on the spots where you need it. Once you find out the type and color you can go on Ebay and usually find exactly what you are looking for allot cheaper. I do it all the time now. Hope this helps.

For those who buy their makeup in drug stores, there's really no way to tell which color is best for you because you can't test it out first. So you have to guess and buy the color you think works. I would guess that the person either settles, if it's the wrong color, or they decide it's too much effort to return it to the store. There are those who are not taught how to find the best foundation, or how to apply it. I took the easy route and went to a department store makeup counter, told them what my needs are and had them figure out the correct color. They then showed me the best way to apply it, which I've been doing ever since.

I sometimes have a hard time getting my make up to blend right so that I don't have any lines. Quite a few of them may not know that they are wearing the wrong color and that it's not blended well. My husband is real good at pointing it out to me when I'm not blended just right.

The commonly-available foundations often don't have the colors to match skin tone well. If it's a good match, it's hard not to have it blend well. I couldn't find a foundation that matched my pale skin tone until I checked out the premium brands.

Not taught properly on the techniques of foundation. They have something to cover and that's accomplished by the mask.

They don't know how bad it looks and someone should offer to do their makeup. Matching their foundation to their skin properly helps even if they apply it in a rush.

Because it is either the wrong color, they are putting too much on, or they don't have the right lighting to check how it looks.
