No decent comedy on TV these days.I'm also of the old school and love Steptoe&Son, The Likely Lads,Nellie Pledge and the pickle factory,On The Buses,Two Ronnies,Rising Damp.Last of the Summer Wine,Ab Fab, Les Dawson.
Steve Martin is the king of American comedy,John Candy (RIP)
Sorry, I cant hack Ricky Gervais and that Office rubbish, totally humourless or much of the American tripe served up on satellite channels.

ok im old school..(some say too old..lol) so i am looking at programme classics that are not made any more.only fools and horses, open all hours, sorry(ronnie corbett), and the two ronnies(sadly now only one ronnie)some mothers do ave them, one of my favourites is citizen smith( the episode where he got hold of the light armoured tank for the cause was a real gem(thanks robert lindsay) and of course keeping up appearances poor bloody vicar(ace) and one foot in the grave,my favourites were the one where he hired a skip, woke up in the morning and found an upside down 2cv in it ,next was where he got the job as a chauffer, and kept wrecking his bosses cars..the last one fell victim to a tank and the one where he was stoned while cutting the grass cos he ran over some bags of coke.. move forward a bit in time now..(still getting old..lol) to i think it was cold feet ,i never watched it on a regular basis because of shift work, there was an episode where the two couples and a german guest had a cottage for the week or weekend, and they had about 21/2 lb of cannibis and the ladies made it into a cake the german guest got up in the middle of the night feeling hungry, and ate a slice of the cake..he got the munchies and ate the lot, found a shotgun and tried to shoot all the cows for meat i was rolling around and crying with laughter..it was magic.im sorry MR GERVAISE but the office never made me laugh, nor extras..(not my type of humour) but you are doing alright without my support so carry on ricky !!.my name is earl..the karma thing..great !!! there is another but i only saw one episode(ruddy shift pattern!) it had a bloke who kept dreaming./day dreaming i found it tickled me but i dont know what it was called but im sure someone will. one more then im done..shameless...the thing about shameless was i could relate to all the plot...i knew a couple of families just like them..but it is/was so hilarious..

I like My Family, Extras, Scrubs, law of the playground and Best of the Worst. I also like a program on C4 called The War at Home. Quite Funny.

Gotta agree that Question Time makes me laugh (and cry) the most. But as far as scripted comedies go, I wish Green Wing was still on but in the meantime I'll be watching Respectable.
