I like 'em a lot. My #1 team is the Canadiens, but I live in Jersey and i have a lot more appreciation and respect for the Devils than for any other team in this area like Rangers, Islanders, or Flyers. Devils main weakness is not their game, it's their location. Even after 3 Stanley cups their fanbase is very weak because of the location. Things should change for the better once they move to Newark. As far as their game, they have a good goalie (Brodeur), star caliber forwards (Elias, Gomez), a rising star (Gionta), a bunch of hard workers in the face of Pandolfo, Madden, Brylin that have been with the team for years and contribute in every game. Their defense suffered after Stevens retirement, but there is still Rafalski and White. With the roster practically unchanged from last year Devils only lost to the future Cup winner Hurricanes. This year, if things are the way they were last year, Devils should compete for the Cup again.

Devils are in trouble. They are over the salary cap, haven't signed enough players. Just a screwed up team. It's too bad because they have some great stars.

I never liked them because they were always that low scoring smothering type team. I saw them this past season against Philly. They picked them apart and beat them by 3. And on the road no less! I think they're still pretty good, but I hope they still lose. So I guess I don't like them either.

They are not my favorite team but I like them. They have the best goalie in the league. And how can you go wrong with John Madden? One of the best defensive forwards there is. Then there's Patrick Elias, Scott Gomez....I could go on and on. They have some great players.

I root for two teams.......the Devils and whoever is playing the Rangers. Another run at the cup in '07!!!!

canes fan=still bitter over 2001, but its less of a hateful rivalry now. but brodeur getting yanked on his birthday in game 1 this year...pretty enjoyable.
too bad nj's salary cap is like 5 mil. over...with martin, hale, and gionta still to be signed. gl lou
