sham.rock... got it right ! every normal men would get an erection in the morning simply because that is the time where their body produces the most testosterone or male hormone ! its absolutely normal n its mean you are sexually healthy ! i am over 40 years old n still having the same phenomenon ! Thanks God !

The actual reasons why men often wake with an erection are- 1) Erections are controlled by the Autonomic nervous system. So, when a man is relaxed, an erection is most likely to occur. Since a man is very relaxed when he's asleep... he's also most likely to wake up from his slumber with an erection. 2) A full bladder, puts pressure on a spinal reflex point that causes an involuntary erection. 3) The more obvious- dreams and other physical stimulation, such as a partner's touch, whether intentional or accidental. The correct term for what is commonly called "Morning Wood" is Nocturnal Penile Tumescence

Testosterone levels are the highest in the morning then any other time of the day. Testosterone is the male hormone that brings on a males sex drive so hence the morning erections.

I think it's because you are sometimes fying for a pee first thing in the morning so you can't go until it goes down which is really annoying.

its actually because there's an excess of water in your body. dont u notice that after u wake up with that erection, you go to urinate?

I don't know, but enjoy it while you can. You'll eventually get old enough that they'll stop. In fact, you'll eventually get old enough that, without some serious stimulation, they'll stop altogether.
