That really depends on how many kids you want. My girl fiend has 8 sisters. Her parents finally just gave up. There is nothing wrong with having 2 of the same sex, and it is actually easier. (and cheaper with hand-me-downs)

I think that's up to you. I had a girl, and my husband wanted a boy, too, so we tried for a boy, but we got another girl. We could have tried again, but we really felt that 2 children was what we wanted, so we didn't try again. If you really only want 2 children, then I wouldn't try just to get a child of the opposite sex - remember - you could always have another child the same sex as your first two. Good Luck.

Hello, yes, I would try for another, regardless of the gender. If you are lucky enough to have children, and even more lucky to have them without any type of complications, be they big or small, you should have as many as you like.
Children are god's blessing and you should go forth and mutiply if you can!!!!! LOL
My hubby and I have 6 children ad would have had 10 had we not suffered 4 miscarriages.
I know this sounds cruel, but there are some people born to have kids, and some who are not, so if you are one of the lucky ones, have as many as you would like. Of course, that is as long as you can afford it in today's times.
We are really lucky, as our kids do not demand name brand clothes and things like that, they know how to appreciate what they receive, no matter where it is from. AND, they share their bedrooms.
It's a pity other parents don't bring their kids up the same!!!
Do you remember the Waltons??? Well, that is us, except we replaced the truck with a Town and Country/Voyager!!!!
Good luck.
Cheers.
Helen :-)

My husband would go mad if we had more than 2 (only got 1 but trying) however if I had 2 same sex it would be nice to try again, but if I got 3 of same sex i'd have to go for 4, as I am one of 3 girls, and it doesn't work, odd number!

At this point I think you have to be practical. Can you afford a third child? Will you be able to send them all to college? Do you have the space? Don't forget the cost of day care for another one. You are already lucky enough to have two kids, so you might want to take these things into consideration. If these things aren't an issue, go for it!

Yes! The sex of the baby is "luck of the draw" based on the man's sperm. There are all sorts of people out there who say the world is overpopulated and one shouldn't have children but I'm not one of those people.

I have four kids now, two girls and two boys. I'm pregnant with my fifth and we don't know (we don't want to find out) what the sex of the new baby is. It's a baby, after all, and the sex is essentially unimportant. The baby will be whatever sex it is supposed to be.

Good luck to you!

Well I've got 2 boys and am still deciding whether to have a third ,
financially we cant afford it but deep down I would like a girl. I'm 35 now and have given myself another 12 months to decide. Hubby doesnt mind either way.

I have 2 children, both girls, and I don't want another baby. My husband and I were satisfied with what we had. I didn't feel the need to have more and more children just to get a son. My luck, I'd be at # 30 and they would all be girls.

Only if I were prepared to go through pregnancy again after that because I don't want to have an odd number of children- I didn't much like being a middle child!
