I have the same problem. My dark circles are hereditary, and I have found something that works. I use a dab of "Preporation H" to get rid of the puffiness, and it also helps a little with the dark circles. Also, when you put on your make-up, use a yellow concealer on the dark circles BEFORE you use your normal concealer and foundation. The yellow will balance out the blue of your circles to make them appear to be your normal flesh tone. Also, if you have any red spots, a green concealer will do the same for those troublesome areas. It's all about getting a balanced, natural look.

No, this is not a joke. Models have used Preparation H or other hemmorhoid creams for years to get rid of dark, puffy under-eye circles. The creams work by temporarily (and mildly) shrinking the puffy tissue, pulling it tighter and eliminating the dark circles. In fact, I saw Tyra Banks talking about it just a few weeks ago on her TV show.

I have the dark and puffy eyes too (more dark than puffy, but I feel your pain!)
Here is my 2 cents:
If tackling the problem from the inside doesn't work, like getting plenty of sleep and staying away from too much alcohol; nature can be given a hand by using some of these treatments:
Lie down, in a quiet room for 15 minutes with either a slice of raw potato/cucumber over your eyes...don't have raw veggies at hand try....cotton wool pads soaked in witch hazel (reduces swelling) - can't tolerate the smell of witch hazel then use iced water.
Also, try relaxing with a couple of cooled teabags over your eyelids for 10 minutes, the polyphenols and tannin in the tea are astringents and mild stimulants and it also has a slight tightening effect to reduce puffiness. You've heard how they put coffee beans in skin creams now? That's why!
Read this one today! Try taking a few egg whites, stiffly beaten, with a drop of witch hazel and apply with a brush under the eyes to make the skin feel tighter and look less puffy. (ok, yes it's different, but I think I will try it too!)
Limit your salt intake by avoiding foods with lots of sodium, because water retention can cause fluid build up around the eyes, causing puffiness.
As far as the dark circles under the eyes go you can try different creams to reduce the dark appearance, but I just use a light concealer I haven't found anything worth mentioning for the dark circles. But I found this website check it out yourself for more tips!

I suffer from the same problem and my beautician advices me the following:
1.Need for enuff sleep.
2.Proper diet.... no starving go... if concerned abt the weight then go for all the veggies they carry most of the vitamins and minerals needed for the skin
3. Drink enuff water
4.Proper digestion... constipation leads to dark circles
Often natural remedies (rather than the creams that u find) help and affect a lot for the good appearance of the skin
my beautician gave me the following tips as well:
1. Mash raw potatoes and apply around the eyes covering ur dark circles... keep it for more than 10 min
2. mix 1 tsp of honey and 1 tsp of lemon and apply on the dark areas including the dark circles for 10-15 min. this is a natural bleach
3. keep slices of cucumber and lie down for sometime (5-10 min)with ur eyes closed.
4. Grind almonds and take 1 tsp of it powder, mix the almond powder with2 tsp of creamy milk or best is to just mix the cream of the milk that u get after heating. let the powder get soaked well in the cream for about 10 min and then apply the mixture under ur eyes. this mixture can also be applied over the entire face for a better complexion. time for the mixture to stay on ur face:10-15 min.
I hope this works out on ur face!!

Very light application of Rex-eme cream, emulsified between your finger tips, right along the crease without getting it on the lower lid itself (that would make the lower lid puffy). Apply 2-3 times each day.

oh i have those too because i only get 8 hours of sleep cuz school is so early. just drink more water. bring a water bottle everywhere you go. i bring one to school and drink it between classes. it works. and if that doesn't help, buy bare minerals. it does a great job of covering up dark circles, discolorations, uneven skin etc. my mom uses it and its is amazing. and its really easy. it only takes her five minutes to do her makeup instead of fifteen. its impossible to mess up. she has been using it for almost a year now, and she doesn't remember how she survived without it. well, its really awesome and you should buy it! its expensive, but its worth it.
hope this works!
