Thinking back to my days in England, I do not recall ever covering my ears to sleep even when it got way, way too cold. I would pull the covers over my head and after some time it was not so bad.
I remember one time I stayed at a friend's place for a couple of days and it just so happened that the heating system decided to act up while I was there. It was freezing! I put on layers and layers of clothing before ducking under the covers. Yes, not sexy at all but being sexy was the furthest thing from my mind at the time.
Answering your question has made me long for the cold weather again. Perhaps one day I will go back.

i could propose getting a clutter field with a cover, and a flap, in case you could no longer try this, you need to purchase small mats to circulate in front of clutter packing bins that your cat will step on till now getting out of the field, then the clutter will come out of its paws, and yet another element is you could take a scrap of carpet, and placed it around the location of the clutter field, so the clutter purely gets interior the scrap carpet, that way you could shake it out interior the morning over the garbage. And relating to the cat and the dogs stressful one yet another, i could enable the animals paintings it out themselves, they should income a thank you to appreciate each others area and get alongside.

When I first go to sleep and I'm cold, I put the blankets over my head and stick my nose out so I can breathe.... Damn cold, I hate cold...

When sleeping, I wear socks if my feet are cold, but if my ears or nose are cold, I turn up the thermostat.

Sometimes I do cover my ears by pulling up the covers around my face, in cold weather, but most of the time I do not. I love feeling the cool air on my face actually, unless it's very, very cold outside. :)
