You're either Gay or Straight. There is no middle ground. And homosexuality is not a mental illness or abnormality. Damn you, bible thumping bastards!
Obviously is someone claims to have changed sexual orientation they're either faking now or were faking then. Though during puberty almost everyone goes through the "Am I Gay?" stage. It could last for a few weeks to maybe a decade.
Also something to consider: maybe this person wanted a family and thought that gay parenting would be too hard on the children. (I agree, it may be.) So she decided to go straight in order to raise a family.

If a gay person goes straight were they really gay? Maybe they were trying something out. In my own sexual life I have gone through phases where one sexual act turned me on and now it doesn't. Maybe that is what is really going on. Also brainwashing can make a person do things they would never do otherwise. Some gays are brainwashed and "converted" to being straight.

They could just like some straight people could go gay. I couldn't do it though. I have nothing against lesbians but if I ever had to do it with another girl I'm pretty sure I would through up. I guess it just depends on how strong your sexual orientation is.

A heard? I Heard or A Herd?
I've never heard of a herd of gay people.
I think they "go" straight as much as some straights "go" gay. It's likely they're bisexual instead.

Sometimes, gays will "go straight" to conform to religious or social pressures. This usually doesn't work.
Or, a person could be bisexual, so they're not really "going straight", they're just expressing the other side of their preferences.
It could even be that the person wasn't really gay.

Tom robinson, the lead singer of the Tom Robinson Band, ('Sing if you're glad to be gay') and the jazz singer George Melly both were Gay and have subsequently gone straight. Oh and Anne Heche, ex of Ellen DeGeneres. So I would say in all probability, yes

Gay people who go straight weren't really gay to begin with. They were just experimenting.

Many times... They can't do away wth their gayish acts though but you'd see how much they want to go straight. It is really possible. Human beings are naturally just like that. We tend to change not for other's sake but according to how we dare to change for ourselves and such things are made possible by guilt and the change of system within the body.. I am talking of what the physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and what the other faculties dictate for the good of our system - just to satisfy what these system needs...
