WHEN WE TALK OF STUDY, CONCENTRATION IS ALREADY INVOLVED IN IT. BUT REGULAR STUDY BECOMES BORING, SO OUR MIND TENDS TO BE DISTRACTED EASILY.
TO AVOID THIS BREAKING OF CONCENTRATION WE CAN TAKE A COFFEE BREAK/BREATH FRESH AIR IN THE GARDEN/TALK TO A BOSOM PAL ON THE PHONE/SIMPLY TAKE A GLASS OF WATER AND WATCH T.V.
BUT ONLY FOR 10 MINS. WE HAVE TO BE SINCERE. THIS REFRESHMENT WILL MAKE OUR MIND LIGHT AS THE TENSIONS WILL BE ELEVATED AND ENRICH OUR CONCENTRATION POWER.
SITTING IN THE MIDST OF NATURE AND GREENERY IN THE WEE HOURS AND WALKING BAREFOOT IN THE PARK ENHANCES OUR THINKING POWER AS WELL AS CONCENTRATION. try it out, 90% RESULTS ASURED.

What I do is I don't try to read fast or study really fast. If you do that, there will be one of the two results. First, you'll not understand a single thing in whatever you are studying. Second, you'll finish everything but end up wasting your time and you might also get bored withe all the definitions and theories you're reading. To concentrate, I don't use any electronic gadgets. I want peace and quiet. It actually depends on how you grasp information, whether it will be on a quiet surrounding or one with music and other noises. Sometimes, it's better to do the other things first that you have to do before studying like cleaning your room. When you study without accomplishing the other stuff, you'd end up thinking about it and you're not able to concentrate because something is bothering you. You have to set your prioritites though. If studying is the most important task of the day, then do it first, the other chores can wait. Set some time for you to relax and enjoy your life a bit, watching tv, surfing the net and others. Just don't over do it. Let's say I watch for an hour and then I study for two or three hours. Then I relax a little bit. I do pause to during my study period. I'm no genius. Avoid daydreaming. Daydream about the subject at hand is better than daydreaming about someone or someplace. While studying you could relate whatever it is that you are studying to things that you know well, with your experiences. With this, it will keep your interest. Writing whatever it is your are reading and studying with all the examples or explanations in your mind can also help you concentrate. It'll keep your hands busy and your brain working and it's also a good way to memorize your lessons. Whenever I read the notes I wrote, I always end up remembering how to explain it and it really helps me. Well that's all. MAke sure to get enough sleep and eat healthy! :)

I have a problem in concentrating. So my best bet is (which I used throughout college) I study really HARD and concentrate for 30 mins then I take a 15 mins break in which I can do what I like. Like watch TV or listen to music or be with family or friends, or ANYTHING really that would relax me. Then I go back to the books for the next 30 mins. I do this cycle till I'm done with my task. (BTW I set out a task per day and I complete).

Make sure you are alone and have no other electronics on. Also, try not to eat while studying, as it will also become a distraction. If you are alone with whatever you are studying you have a much better chance of concentrating. Just remember, no outside sources such as music or television either!!
Set aside some time where you focus only on studying. Turn off your phone during that time. It will help.

whatever you do to get motivated before you do your favorite thing or go to your favorite place is done so that you can focus your efforts d being there and having a good time there. Do that same motivation technique except focus your efforts on a being in a studying type environment and on your assignment and you may be able to concentrate. If this does not work, if you have friends that you play games with, make the game using your study so your friends can help you out.

First of all have a quiet place to study without distractions. If you have music make sure it is not loud and interfering with your thinking. Take it one sentence at a time and take notes about things that may need to be gone over again. Writing the things down a few times can help too. Good luck!

turn off all music(although we might think it helps us study, its a distraction). GET OFF THE INTERNET!! =P. If you just sit in a room, with no other distractions, you will concentrate and understand what you are learning. Believe me...you cant study with the laptop next to you!

I still haven't cracked it. Wahat i wil say is that once your room is tidy and you've sorted out your books from A -z, everything else really is a time wasting tactic. Get the head down...you kjnow you'll regret it if you don't. GL.

yes it is important, if it's something you enjoy it should be easy, but if it's a drag you have to keep in mind where this will take you. if passing a class gets you your degree in the field you want to be in then just keep that goal in mind or in other words "keep your eye on the prize"
