An allergy is caused when an allergen (for a list of other common allergens click here) enters our body system. The symptoms of a milk protein allergy fall into 3 types of reactions:
Skin Reactions:

* Itchy red rash
* Hives
* Eczema
* Swelling of lips, mouth, tongue, face or throat
* Allergic "Shiners" (black eyes)

Stomach and Intestinal Reactions:

* Abdominal pain and bloating
* Diarrhoea (usually very runny)
* Vomiting
* Gas/wind
* Cramps

Nose, Throat and Lung Reactions:

* Runny Nose
* Sneezing
* Watery and/or Itchy eyes
* Coughing
* Wheezing
* Shortness of Breath

The milk allergy symptoms are not only restricted to people suffering from milk allergy. Many other people can show these symptoms to basically any other immune reaction. This could be from a simple mosquito bite to a drug reaction such as penicillin. Common food allergies, all with similar symptoms include sea shells, peanuts, banana and eggs.

What are the symptoms of lactose intolerance?

The symptoms listed below are caused by the fermentation of lactose. Since lactose is not broken into glucose, and hence left unabsorbed by the body, the perfect conditions found in the intestines help the lactose to ferment and this leads to the formation of gases. A particular gas is methane that is usually the cause for the pain and aggressive flatulence.

Common symptoms include:

* nausea
* cramps
* bloating gas,
* wind diarrhoea, which may begin from after half an hour to 2 hours after eating or drinking foods containing lactose.

Persons who suffer from lactase deficiency and do not avoid lactose may suffer from weight loss and malnutrition.

The severity of symptoms varies depending on the amount of lactose each individual can tolerate. Some of the symptoms may be similar to those of milk allergy but milk allergies can cause the body to react quicker, more often within a few minutes.

Compare the symptoms of lactose intolerance with those of milk allergy.

Possibly you have intolerance with fat. On the grounds that as we all know, tea might curb fat (some humans drink tea for his or her weight loss program). So I advise you to try a non-fats milk. But if the milk is non-fats please reply the question beneath. 1. You have got to be certain, do you've intolerance with one type of milk company or all sorts of milk? 2. When did the health problem ? Because you have been a child or ...? 3. Do you've milk with empty belly or not? 4. What variety of milk do you will have? Does it contain fats or lactose? 5. When you drink milk with tea and you probably have milk with cereal, and many others, do you place sugar in them? 6. Do you feel the health problem every-SINGLE-TIME you've milk? 7. Have you consult along with your physician? What did he say? Well, after you provide me the answers probably i will make the conclusion -- or maybe which you can appreciate it your self!! PS : Cheese and chocolate contain fat too, however of direction pure milk involves more. That is why you don't have any concern with cheese and chocolate.

Everybody has explained what it is and the symptoms to you, so here's how to prevent it:

Even though lactose intolerance is widespread, it need not pose a serious threat to good health.

People who have trouble digesting lactose can learn which dairy products and other foods they can eat without discomfort and which ones they should avoid. Many will be able to enjoy milk, ice cream, and other such products if they take them in small amounts or eat other food at the same time. Others can use lactase liquid or tablets to help digest the lactose.

Even older women at risk for osteoporosis and growing children who must avoid milk and foods made with milk can meet most of their special dietary needs by eating greens, fish, and other calcium-rich foods that are free of lactose.

A carefully chosen diet (with calcium supplements if the doctor or dietitian recommends them) is the key to reducing symptoms and protecting future health.

Hope this helps.

Yes. In fact, over 65% of the people of the world have an intolerance to milk. If you can drink milk, then you have at least one ancestor from Caucus region of the world. This is a mountain area in mid to eastern Europe. Most Europeans are descendants from this group of people.

The symptoms include nausea, loose bowels, and possibly a low grade fever within 30-45 min of drinking milk.

Lactose intolerance. My dad and a friend have it. If they eat too much dairy (cheese, ice cream, milk, ect.) my dad gets nauseated and a headache while my friend usually vomits or diarrhea. Hopefully, you don't have this problem- I'd die if I couldn't have a cold glass of milk with cookies.

MILK other than your mother's milk is GROSS. Moreover RAPED milk is gross, most people often do not think about the issue of rape, I meanI did not until I woke up.. It is BAD for your brain.... there are secret brain studies which were conducted that proved that MILK was bad for the BRAIN... It was proven that "milk" (as in raped from an animal like a cow was way worse than even smoking) ... Check the studies, you'll see them one day....

PLEASE UNDERSTAND AND WAKE UP TO BE VEGAN, BASED ON COMPASSION and so as to say... some may wake up because of fear... but I hope you come to your senses and see thru the eyes of compassion.

You can't prevent it, you can only stop it by cutting out all lactose products. I have a wheat intolerance, so I know what it is like.
