I've taken an early pregnancy test this morning, and I see an extremely faint line very close to the control line on it. I can't tell if i'm seeing a line for a positive or not. I am now 10 days past ovulation.

seriously, I would just go up to someone on the street and ask if they see it also. I know it's weird but chances are you'll never see that person again.

A truly positive test will have a 2nd dark line usually as dark or darker than the control. If you're seeing a faint line, I recommend wait a week and retest.
Similar thing happened to me before, had control plus barely visible 2nd line. Turned out to be a false positive. Cause I got my period a week later.

A line is a line is a line, no matter how faint. It's probably a matter of not enough hcg in your urine, and it's showing up faint. Re-test again in 3 or 4 days and I guarantee you'll have a darker line. Congrats!

Even a very faint line means pregnant however if you have been trying long to concieve it can be wishful thinking give it a few days and take a second test. Good luck to you children are such an awesome expierience. I can't wait for mine to move out though.

make sure you're not reading the test way after the alloted time. Many times if you keep checking at it for hours after you take the test, a faint blue line will appear.

you can see an uncolored mark in the paper where the strip is that actually reacts and changes color when the hormone is present. It has to be pink to actually be a positive.

I'd wait a week and try again. its best not to test any how until you're late for your period. Those early responce tests only work in 63% of women before their late for their period.

you could very well be pregnant, best to wait till tomorrow morning and take another with your first morning urine, if that is still faint, wait a week, or consult your physician. Good luck and congrats if you are! :)

If it was positive, it would be a bold line. You need to see your gyn dr. There may be something else going on.
