I never really watched most reality television shows. I don't see them as very interesting. But I do like some of the shows that have come about in part because of reality TV, like American Chopper (and all the shows it has inspired, especially Miami Ink) and 30 Days.

I don't like the game show reality TV show, like Survivor and that ilk, or the (usually scripted) social dynamic "let's stick some people in a house" reality TV show. But I do enjoy watching real people in different situations, especially when those people are running a shop of some sort (or cooking shows are rather nice also).

So while I'm sick of the (now) standard reality TV, there are a lot of shows involving real people without scripts that I do enjoy.

I am fed up. I don't see the need for reality TV when it's a fix anyway, like this year's UK Big Brother. I don't mind watching BB but I wouldn't miss it if it went off the air, which it should, how long can they keep it? The X-Factor is enjoyable but predictable and the winner doesn't seem to be a superstar anyway.

I can't speak for all "people" but I never really watched reality tv, it's too predictable. I've watched a couple Real World shows since my wife always has it on there's really no other option. Besides that though I've really not watched it at all... rather watch ESPN and/or Comedy Central--best news comes from Jon Stewart's Daily Show... it's brilliant.

During the time of war, I believe people want away from fantasy and are into reality. You notice that most war movies don't come out until AFTER the wars are over? There are still a few worth watching, but Survivor, I feel, has run its course. American Idol is always fun, but might get boring in a few years, too...we need a variety in our tv viewing away from fictional murder and violence, don't we?

Your question should be "Are people fed up
WITH Reality TV?" and No we aren't.

I think you have to be interested in People and their interactions, their problem solving abilities, their adaptability, of course ETHICS come seriously into play and of course the ironic travel aspects.

Amazing Race is just that an "AMAZING RACE".

This years SURVIVOR should be the best yet.
It is not slightly racist, it is the challenge of 4 teams to see how well they do. Those remaining will come together in the end anyway.

AMERICAN IDOL (the tryouts are the best)
NATIONAL TREASURE, was only OK.
APPRENTICE IS INTERESTING.
SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE is good.

Amazing Race and Survivor are really the only ones I care about.

I like elements of big nrother, like the fact that they go in with a game plan but you can fool people 24 hrs a day, its like car crash TV. If the series finished and that was the end of the contestants then cool, but it doesnt we're left to see them make TV programmes: ie princess nikki.... someone give her a slap :D But i guess it makes TV for wannabe psychologists. But yesI think reality Tv should stop

There is only so much a reality television show can do. I think that whoever controls reality television has covered almost every angle that they could possibly cover. There are only so many good reailty shows on television (Survivor, American Idol, and Fear Factor), but I think that people have gone a little to far with reality televison.

It seems like everytime I go on a rant and pick on people for watching reality tv, some show comes along that makes me ashamed of myself. That show currently is Rockstar Supernova which I am painfully addicted to.
