Do U smoke? If so that could be the problem. Stop smoking. It is very bad for your health on birth control to smoke. If you do not smoke, see doctor for dosage adjustment.

If the side effects are still bothering you after a few months, you might consider switching to a different pill. Personally, if the side effects were tolerable, I would give it two or three cycles and see if there were still problems. But if it's putting a real strain on your relationship, I would consider switching now. There are tons of different pills you can try, so no one birth control pill is worth ruining your relationship. Tell your doctor what kind of problems you've had with it and s/he can recommend a different pill.

I had mood swings the whole time. I HIGHLY recommend Nuvaring. It has lower horomones and you just insert it once a month... no pills to remember. I'm not an agent for them, I just absolutely love it now that I've switched. I've had zero side effects from it and you can't even tell it is there (neither can my husband). Message me if you want any more info.

it depends on you & the pill... it can be a few weeks, months or never.
Not all pills will work with your body... I used ortho evera (the patch) & it made me CRAZY... I was like medussa! I only used it for a few months because I couldn't stand how I was acting...
each company ises their own mix of 2 hormones (or sometimes just one) so you should sit down & talk with your Dr. about using a different combination/switching to another kind.

Some women cannot take the pill for a number of reasons. If you are one of them, find another method of control.
