The thing I take for granted most is that all my problems are little ones.
Its sometimes easy to forget that things could always be alot worse, and what ever you are going through there is someone in a worse position than yourself
I work with vulnerable people and am reminded every day just how lucky I am that I have freedom, good health, roof over my head, money in my pocket, friends and family, safety, an education... the list is endless and until you lose one of those things you don't realise how precious they are.

Time.
I spend so much of it working to earn enough money for the little luxuries we're told will make our lives more pleasurable but don't.
I thought last birthday that since I smoke and have a pretty bad diet, I'll probably die way before I'm 70 - probably closer to 50. That means I'm halfway through my life and I haven't spent nearly enough time enjoying myself.
I couldn't give up work though because although I hate it, I would hate even more to be poor and live in a cr@p house in a cr@p area. I only wish I could score a lottery win or make enough money to retire mega-early.
God this is making me depressed!

Being able to get up in the morning and doing what I want to do. Many people in many countries cannot do this, and in America we often take our basic freedoms for granted. I have done and said things that in many places around the world would have had me taken out and shot. I guess just being in America and taking what we have for granted is the number one thing. Most people in the world do not have this.

Paper in the photocopier. I always assume it will be there and that the magic photocopier leprechaun refills the drawer every night.

Each day! Nothing is promised to us...not even our next breath. I need to be more aware that each day is a gift.
