I would think the local stores would be depleted. Where would 300 million people go for guns and ammo?

As several answers can attest to, there will always be a certain % of Americans who will refuse to arm themselves. As such, you should have no problems finding a gun to purchase, provided you don't live in a state that has systematically destroyed the right to bear arms.
BTW, avoid buying a close range gun in favor of something that will give you greater distance capabilities. After all, if they're already at your door, you've already lost.

More than 80 million already own guns.
However, are military is the strongest in the world, and it is extremely unlikely that it will ever be necessary for us to take up arms individually. If things ever got that bad, we'd just nuke whoever was attacking us.

Just "Hide-under" the wings of "Maliscia's" or the "Gansta's" or in Arizona, and Texas, someone's always "Packin'!" Believe me, us girls wouldn't have to worry about running & hiding, and being armed... Their would be a Military man, on every corner, if it ever got that bad!! Its taking the "New World Order" I'd be worrying about... And that's from our country, alone... We already have 'Under-ground" prisons, made just for those who dont take the "New-world-order" and they already have missles to stop us, and ones for the groups who flee, to blow them away!! This is right here in America!!! Why do you think they put those traffic signals on the freeways, its not to send you "Tickets" in the mail for speeding!!! Its so they can keep an eye, on those who dont take the New world order!! They can see for miles with those cameras, and also see the license numbers model, & make of any cars that try to "flee"!! I knew about these, since before they put them in the intersections of all the "Big-Cities" and they also have them behind speed limit, signs, in the form of a little "Sticky" and I'm not a "Paranoid" person... I saw the video, years ago!!! I dont own a copy,of it, because if I did all those Black & grey vans would be all over my apartment!! Oh and the black & grey helicopters too, their in on all of this ,too!!! I could tell you so much more.. It would make you think twice about all those "Maliscia" groups, the Government makes out to look like bad people!! Their merely living off of their own land, "Peacefully" without hurting a single soul !! But, the Government makes them all look like thier trying to do something bad to people, by not depending on any city sources, and by living off of their land. and by being "Armed"..... They have to protect theirselves from the New world order...... Leave them alone!!!! They homeschool their children, and grow all their own food, and raise their own animals!! And the government comes in there, lights their houses on fire, and says its because one of them shot at an agent who stepped foot on their "Property".. why was that agent on their property in the first place? Because they find them as a "Threat" because they know their "Ready" for the New world order, when it comes!!! Living "Peacefullly" ... not harming a soul.. why would the government want to hurt them,if they have the right to bare-arms... And live off of their own land, because the government knows, they know about the New world order!!! And they dont want them to be able to defend theirselves, from it!!!

Check with your relatives and neighbors. Some gun owners have more than one. Right now, if there are more guns than adults in the US, it would not surprise me. I would not be in favor of arming children.

Keep the weapons you sell to Israel, Iran etc etc etc. That should keep you going for a while.
