I would laugh my butt off.
Then hit him with it!

My husband loves me too much to do that for my birthday. A toilet seat is something usually both go to purchase. A birthday is special. If your boyfriend or husband bought you a toilet seat for your birthday, I would take that as he doesn't really care about you. I'm sorry, but the gift says it all.

It would depend, if it was a handpainted one (I've seen them at country fairs) then I'd be pretty chuffed.
My birthday has never been cause for celebration anyway, and the irony of recieving a toilet seat wouldn't be lost on me...

whatever my husband gives me I'm sure it is something useful (and probably requested as well) cause we've always been practical as a couple.
so if he does it would mean a lot of things but one thing for sure is he's going to put that toilet seat up when it's his turn and down when it is already mine. I am a woman/wife very particular abt the cleanliness and orderly of our toilet most esp of the toilet bowl... and he will never let my nice *** touch a dirty seat. =)

It best not be the ONLY gift he gets me. There's some really nice toilet seats out there - but again, it best not be the ONLY birthday gift I get from him.

well taking into consideration that mine is broke right now and I pinched myself this morning I would be glad for the seat and them slam his bipper in it for trying to pass it off as a birthday present.

I'd howl with laughter and buy him a toilet bowl brush for his birthday.

Well that all depends did you ask for one for your birthday? Is it one you mentioned that you might like to have? Does it match the pattern and color in your bathroom? If you didn't ask for one, or mention that you wanted it, then I guess it's okay to ring his neck with it.

I'd kick his a$$!
My husband would never do that. I'm the one who goes and buys stuff like that.
