This will all depend on how your corporate intranet allows connections. Some methods that companies use to allow remote connections include Citrix, VPN, Remote Desktop, etc.

Define "remote". If the computer is located physically close, you have two options that are very similar: a wireless access point and a wireless router. The access point simply extends your LAN wirelessly. The router can provide additional security, and provide a separate subnet (which can also be used to provide additional security via your server/group policy settings). So long as the computer is within range of the wireless signal, you're up and running quickly.
If the computer is truly remote, you're going to have to access through the internet. Use a wireless router at your remote location to access the internet. From there, you have two options: a router to router VPN, or a "plain vanilla" VPN. Not a lot of difference if you're skill level is such to ask this question. The VPN will give you a secure connection to the LAN. You'll need to have permission set up in active directory for remote access, and permissions set up to hit the router at your LAN.

this is one way of connecting to the companies intranet site.
first you have to get to know whether your companies intranet site is accessible to the companies employees from outside the company?
