Drive on. These days if you chased them you'd probably end up with a knife in you or worse.

Some kids near here were throwing water balloons at cars, one guy got out and slapped one of the kids - it caused uproar, the kids dad got a petition up to have the guy banned from driving. He got fined £1500 and done for assault and everyone said he was over the top that the kids were just playing!
The kids were 14 and could have caused a serious accident - personally i think the brat got what he deserved!
If someone through an egg at my car i would stop, give chase and hopefully give the b*****d a good slapping :-D

What would you do if you were driving along and someone threw an egg at your car?
Keep going, an egg really can cause very little
actual damage to a car, unless you don't wash it off at your first opportunity.
Remember as much of the who, when, and where as you can and call the police when you
can safely do so.

an egg? you are worried about an egg?? try this for size last November 3,in the run up to Guy Fawkes night,i was driving down the road,(out of habit i drive with the windows down a couple of inches) and some little gits launched a ruddy big firework rocket at my car....it skimmed along the front vent above the bonnet and wrecked one wiper...1 more second(or less )and it would have come through the window!! i drove on ..until out of sight ,turned around and caught 2 11 year old boys ,who were in possession of a length of Drainpipe they had used as a launcher,and a box of rockets..police were called..and they were taken home to their parents..some parents!! it was 1100 at night what the hell were they doing out at that time of night?? drainpipe and rockets confiscated by police, NO CHARGES WERE BOUGHT !why? not because they were so young,but because no serious damage was done!! maybe they should have read my entry on the answers to dr Miriam Stoppard's question..they might have thought differently then.

Jump out and have a go, if they hadn't run off of course. If I couldn't se them I would just keep going to prevent looking like even more of an idiot.
My friend was sat innocently in traffic with all windows down, when the woman in the next car started swearing and shouting at her. My friend threw a doughnut at her which hit her in the face, I thought that was class!!!!

Stop the car, get out and beat the living daylights out of the person who threw the egg...this isn't a case of what would I do, this is a case of this is what I did.

Hurry up and get the egg off of your car! Egg ruins the paint on your vehicle. Trust me, I have had to repaint an entire side of my vehicle because of eggs!
BTW, don't chase, it only makes you look like an idiot. Not saying you are, just don't chase them down.

No point in stopping because your not going to get any where with it or resolve anything by that.
But I would try to remove the egg as fast as possible and take care of the things that are within my control.

some little turd did that to us whilst driving along east end glasgow(ned city) just last week-as our car had been vandalised the previous week and we had our two under five kidz in the back seat i saw red-so my partner stopped further down the road and i actually got a hold of the little swine with an egg ready in his hand i made him wear it and threw him to the ground-what else are we to do?report it to the police?-and yes it gave me satisfaction+pleasure.

Let's be honest, we all did this kind of thing when we were kids. Maybe not egging a moving car, but surely you threw something you shouldn't have, at something or somebody?
It's a tough call between letting it go, and tracking them to their house and telling the parents.

If the egg made a damage on your car stopped,and confront the offender.
