The people in Waco and Ruby Ridge were posing threats to Americans. They needed to be dealt with. As far as Bin Laden goes, I have heard that he did not actually give him a free pass. It was the military of whatever country he was in (I can't remember if it was Afghanistan or Pakistan) that dropped the ball. Clinton didn't want to make a mess with foreign relations. Have you ever noticed the differences in foreign relations between the Clinton and Bush presidencies? After 9/11, we had support from pretty much all of Europe and most of the rest of the world (sans most Middle Eastern nations). Now, those same "allies" are fed up with our incompetence. I think it's about time that the Republicans start admitting that there have been more than enough mistakes made by the Bush administration in the War on Terror. Most Conservatives I have talked to cannot even admit the errors exist. Clinton made mistakes. He did things he shouldn't have. He wasn't as aggressive in his military strategies as he should have been. I don't know of any president that has made the whole country happy. But there is something wrong with a leader when his popularity ratings drop from around 65% to 30% within 4 years during a war. And there is still no plan. Why do the Democrats have to admit the follies of the Clinton administration while the Republicans can continue to blindly follow a leader who has made a mockery of the office?
