Get your facts straight. The circumstances were WAY different back then. You really should start to think for yourself and stop repeating nonsensical matter. The problems were developing when the senior Bush was the President. So, get your facts straight. Do YOU see "the mess that got us into"?

Look, Clinton is not the President now. Leave that tired out argument alone; it ain't getting us anywhere and it won't correct any of the problems we NOW have and which were not started by the Clintons... hey, where's the surplus monies that the previous administration left for Social Security and Medicare?

Talk about what is going on TODAY that needs correcting, like the super rich and powerful not paying their fair share of taxes but continue to get "incentives" and tax breaks while they send American jobs outside of the US to countries that pay women less than men, where children are forced to work 12-16 hours for a few dollars... and Americans are losing jobs! Or why the gas prices go up due to supposed shortages due to hurricanes and the war and other b/s excuses but the oil companies continue to post record profits! Record profits for less oil? Does that make sense to you? Hey, go ahead and blame Clinton for that, too.

Instead of complaining, why don't you join the Armed Services?

And while you're at it, ask your elected officials why they don't encourage THEIR OWN children to join the Armed Services? Do YOU know how many Senators, Congressmen/women, Governors, Mayors, etc., have children in the Armed Services or have had in the last 40 years?

I am not a Clinton fan, and yes I am aware that the Sudanese government offered us Bin Laden. However, in Clinton's defense his administration had a different position on terrorism. If you want to blame Mr. Clinton for being weak on terrorism, or for his justice department making it impossible for intelligence agencies to share information, you would be wholly correct. You cannot however blame him for not taking action directly against Bin Laden when the whole position of the administration was based on trying to prosecute terrorists rather than hunt them down by any means. It ranks as an extreme failure to protect the American people in hindsight, but it is just so much spilt milk at this point in history. Lastly, let me say that even in those days we considered Bin Laden one of the most dangerous men in the world, and we should have taken action in my opinion. You must view this in the interest of fairness though, many of us support the Bush Doctrine on terrorism, and we get upset with the people who don't because it is now the the policy of the United States. The same can be said of Clinton supporters during his administration, right or wrong it was policy.

To all who are posting get your facts straight, or it was Congress' fault you need to review evidence yourselves. Mr. Clinton gave testimony on this, it is taped public record. He states that it was his decision not to accept the Sudanese offer of Bin Laden, preferring instead to attempt to get the Saudis to take charge in the matter. I don't disagree that he made choices based on his convictions, and right or wrong it is his choice to live with. However, I cannot stand spin meistering from the left trying to make it an issue on the right. Want truth look to yourself first.

The truth is yeah I believe it. I am as republican as it gets and before Sept 11 you couldn't sneeze wrong for fear someone would throw down the ol biggot card. He did go blow up a training academy but was then persecuted for killing kids what people failed to realize is that these young boys were studing the art of suicide bombing at the time. Darned if you do, Darned if you don't..

No, I don't believe they cared about whether they offended Muslims or not. They only cared what the polls said, and they took action only if the poll numbers supported it.

That was how he ran his presidency - by polls. I cannot think of a single thing he did because, although unpopular, it was the right thing to do.

Not as big a mess as the Bushites have got us into, bogged down in a war based on lies and bogged down in Afghanistan because we do not have the man power to fight the war effectively. Do not forget that Bush had 9 months to straighten out the security and did less then nothing he actually cut the securaty force and left it undermaned

Clinton had NOTHING to do with the mess we're in. BTW, Clinton was unable to do anything about OBL because of the repub controlled congress. Give it a break, ok ? All blame goes to BushCo.

Can you believe he tried taking action and was castigated by his opposition as trying to deflect attention away from their pressing agenda of a sex scandal?
Can you believe that the US government invaded a country uninvolved with the attacks on the US in the name of defending the US?

Everything Clinton did was based on the latest poll numbers. I bet if we could have held a CNN poll that said he should throw Hillary off the Empire State Building, he would have done it.
