Problem- a state of difficulty that needs to be resolved.

One could argue that life is a series of solutions to ever-present problems. We must gather information and make the best possible attempt at solving them, aka: a decision, during every aspect of our lives. "Problems" can be as mundane as what to have for breakfast that morning or what to major in at college.

Generally, a problem is something that makes an individual very unhappy and sometimes is unable to figure out why something tragic is going on/ about to happen. Not everything in our life is a problem; only those things that allow things to be problems.

For example, I have a job now, so I am able to make car payments. That isn't a problem. Now, if I were unemployed, making the car payments would be a probem, since I lack the income to pay the monthly bill.

In general, problem is a mental obstacle which makes impossible the achieving a goal/objective/purpose. It refers to a situation, condition, or issue that is unresolved yet and rather undesired. In a broad sense, a problem exists when an individual becomes aware of a significant difference between what actually is and what is desired.

Usually, the nature of a problem is such that an answer or solution is needed. In such cases, problem solving is used to understand important aspects of the problem so that an answer or solution can be found.

Everything that counts in life is a problem or a solution. You could almost call it the meaning of life.

My favorite movie quote is in "Hitch" where he says "Life is not measured in the breaths we take, but rather in the moments that take our breath away." I think a really good solution to a really hard problem would do that. For instance, the problem or fear of being lonely, then finding that one person who completes you.

A problem to me is any obstacle put in your way of daily life that keeps you from your goals and being able to function that day. I sometimes think that my life is one big problem. I can't seem to accomplish what I set out to do. I've been sick the last 3 weeks and the doctor can't figure out why. It's like right now everything is closing in on me.

A problem is a liability that makes my ability to do something more difficult. It could be a co-worker, or a task assigned to me or a personality trait that impedes my efficiency.

Taxes are a problem, as I seem to be paying more every year, but getting less for it.

The government is a problem, as I feel they do not listen to my concerns, preferring to address the person with a huge suitcase of money.

My cat is a problem, as she barfs almost every day and I can't resolve that situation.

If by "problem" you mean a situation that needs to be defined and then acted upon, then yes. However, one would be wise to remember that without challenges, one cannot grow.
