Bushs' war in Iraq, has bred thousands of new terrorist for us to worry about. This war has sucked millions upon millions of Dollars from our country. This money would be better spent protecting our porous borders, checking cargo coming into the country, securing nuclear plants, chemical plants and other key targets. Why do we need to be in Iraq?Didn't we come in friendship,to topple Saddam? No WMDs,so they were no threat to us.We don't need to export "democracy",ours isn't in to great of shape. We aren't the worlds policeman. If we came to liberate the Iraqs, why do they keep killing us?they see us as an invader now. This war makes our country MUCH LESS safe.don't you think? should I say "can you think" Our current war mongering leaders can't seem to.Find and fight our real enemys, remeber,Iraqis arent supposed to be our enemys, they wernt the terrorists!where is Osama, and his bunch?watch now,as republicans call dems weak on terror,as the reps.are in fact supporting it! out they go in two months!!

Bush needs to go. War is never good and you can never feel safe. I didn't vote for either Bush and you can see what the first one did, but people voted for the second one. Sometimes I really wonder if our votes count.

Without getting into a verbal shouting match about each of those points, I do feel safer for a couple of reasons. One, the fact remains we haven't had an attack on American soil in 5 years, (I hope that remains the case). And there is much more awareness of the potential for terrorism, ordinary citizens are getting involved and reported seemingly innocuous things that could be potentially dangerous. And just being aware that these are real threats goes a long way to prevent them. When we take republicans versus democrat ideology out of the equation, that's when things may get accomplished. And do you really think that the government is at liberty to tell us when they actually stop an alleged attack. All we can see is the results, namely that we have been safe for the past 5 years. And do you really think we were any safer before September 11th. I thank all the people, in all forms of government that do try their best to keep Americans alive. PS. At least you're not apathetic about this :)

Notice that there has been no new attacks, Mr. liberal? Were it up to you and the left, Islam would be the national religion and Sharia Law would be implemented. Ironically, the left would be the first ones to be beheaded because they have NOTHING in common with the law of Islam. Abortion, women's rights, gay marriage - all of these merit the death penalty under Islamic law. Be thankful you live in the USA, the only country that has an immigration issue because people want to live here so badly. Sure, our democracy isn't in the best of shape, but if we will quit undermining the decisions made by our leaders, be they democrats or republicans, we will be able to foster a strong nation united against terror and all the ills that beset us. Last time I looked, you were still in America. If you find it so terrible as you imply, move to Gaza or Tehran and see how much you like it there. My guess is that you've never been out of this country and thus have never seen the poverty of friendly 3rd world countries, much less those at war. Quit being a copier, think for yourself. Being anti-government is not cool.

Can't you see that the war on terror and the war against Iran that will follow will prevent the construction of oil pipelines from Iraq through Afghanistan and into America's big rival China?
What more do you want? This is what will keep the American economy strong for the next 100 years or more.

Had a hornets nest in the back yard and didn't feel safe so I beat it down with a big stick. I was sure that this would make me safer but I was wrong. For awhile things got much worse but eventually the hornets moved on. It seemed to take a long time.

We are not safer.
Attacking Iraq has simply created thousands of new terrorists who have a genuine reason to hate us. After all how would you feel about China if they invaded us and started carpet bombing us, because they wanted to share communism with us.
For Bush to claim he is strong on terror, when America sustained the most deadly attack on US soil under his watch is astonishing.

No I don't feel safe.... the terrorist is still after us and they have warned us about trying to get us again..... I totally agree with you. We need to get out of Iraq ASAP. Its causing more hatred towards the Americans. Al Qeida, and maybe new terrorists that we don't even know about... Who knows??? All I know is that we needs to pray and hope everything works out well for both parites

Didn't the War on Terror start after the unprovoked attack on 9/11?
If we felt safer before then we were living in a fools paradise, much like you seem to be

I do and I guess most of America does as both domestic and foreign travel are up over 30% from last year! No thanks to liberals whose Bush bashing only adds to the moral of our enemies. You'll get your chance to vote for Hillary soon, but when she loses, please take your head out of your azz and don't complain for another 4 years,8 is enough and frankly most of us are sick of it.
